Lately I've been talking to people who have money they'd like to invest, and the first thing I think about is stocks for yield through dividends or price increase, really the usual in the stock market area, but I end up recommending the crypto area under exactly the same investment rules.

For example, in the case of Hive, those who do staking can receive from 10 to 21% of their total stake, it all depends on their votes and the way they manage them, but this can be seen as a dividend at the end of the year, which can be comparable to just the dividends given by shares like Disney.

But it doesn't stop here, let's see how there are other crypts that can give a return when staking, such as the case of COSMOS, ARK, ARPA or LISK, among many others, which although they can give lower returns, they are still very competitive when we compare them with dividends from companies that give 2 or 3% of the value of their shares. One thing in common is that we must hold both assets for a certain period of time in order to receive the dividend.

We also have the side of the cryptos that give us profit through the increase of its price, as the case of Bitcoin, Dash and other currency that uses the PoW as a base (this counting that we are not mining), that can be equivalent to make Holding of shares like Netflix, Uber or Tesla, to which we invest by an expected increase of its price through time, since they are not generating annual dividends.

I think that making an equivalence in terms of investment laws or the dilemma of investing by price increase or by dividends that we find in the traditional stock market, can make the old school investors understand much better about investments in crypto.

At the end of the day we will still be guided by the same investment laws, the only thing that will change is the financial asset and some issues to take into account such as forks, which could double our investment or make it drop in performance.

What other similarity is there between the traditional stock market and the crypto area?
