Luck is the union of opportunity with preparation / Suerte es la unión de la oportunidad con la preparación

A good part of what we could call "luck" has to do with an opportunity that we had in front of us and were able to take, but we have sometimes wondered, what would happen if I could not see it as an opportunity, but as an isolated and unimportant event?
Great opportunities can often be seen by those who have the knowledge to understand what is happening and act on what is needed to achieve the objective, and one could say that we can be prepared because we have lived similar situations before and we are already able to know when it is an opportunity in something specific and when it is not an opportunity.
We still have to know that several situations can be purely due to luck, like maybe winning the lottery or winning the coin-operated machine in a casino, since they refer to things in which the chances of winning are minimal and that we can have a chance under a significant amount of attempts, all due to the randomness of the situation.
But this is not the case of other situations in which an effort is needed from us to achieve an important goal that can be given under a situation that has appeared to us suddenly, but that is a situation in which we were prepared and waiting for it to happen at any time.
Many of the opportunities we see that other people have are a combination of the knowledge they have and a touch of randomness about various variables that might come together at a certain point in our lives.
This is why the best thing we could do would is to live without expecting a stroke of luck but to be open to seeing opportunities that present themselves in front of us without us waiting for them but prepared to take them.
The more prepared we are, with knowledge and experience, the more opportunities we can see in a world of randomness.

Una buena parte de lo que podríamos llamar “suerte” tiene que ver con una oportunidad que tuvimos en frente y pudimos tomar, pero alguna vez nos hemos preguntado ¿Qué pasaría si no la hubiera podido ver como una oportunidad, sino como un evento aislado y sin importancia?
Las grandes oportunidades pueden ser vistas frecuentemente por quienes tienen los conocimientos necesarios para entender lo que está ocurriendo y actuar conforme a lo que se necesita para lograr el objetivo, y se podría decir que puede estar preparado porque ha vivido situaciones similares anteriormente y ya es capaz de saber cuándo es una oportunidad en algo en específico y cuando no es una oportunidad.
Aun hay que saber que varias situaciones pueden deberse puramente a la suerte, como tal vez ganarse la lotería o ganar a la máquina de tragar monedas en un casino, ya que se refieren a cosas en las que las probabilidades de ganar son mínima y que podemos tener una posibilidad bajo una cantidad de intentos importante, todo debido a la aleatoriedad de la situación.
Pero este no es el caso de otras situaciones en que se necesita de un esfuerzo por parte de nosotros para lograr un objetivo importante que se puede dar bajo una situación que nos ha aparecido de repente, pero que es una situación en la que estábamos preparados y esperando a que ocurriera en cualquier momento.
Muchas de las oportunidades que logramos ver que otras personas tienen son una combinación entre los conocimientos que tienen y un toque de aleatoriedad en cuanto a varias variables que se pudieran unir en un determinado punto de nuestra vida.
Es por esto que lo mejor que podríamos hacer seria vivir sin esperar un golpe de suerte pero estar abiertos a ver oportunidades que se presentan al frente de nosotros sin que estemos esperándolas pero si preparados para tomarla.
Mientras más preparados estemos, con conocimientos y experiencias, más oportunidades podremos ver en un mundo de aleatoriedad.
