In all the alt seasons we can see how there are people who say that the coins are going to increase in price significantly, some say that they can increase by 20 or 30 times the price they currently have and although it is something that can happen, it is also something that usually does not happen and we have to know how to see the reality to avoid entering a market that is overbought and about to fall.
In the last bullish run of altcoins you can hear people saying that Link is going to reach 2,000 in an extreme case and in other cases that it can reach $200, and although it may be something that could be achieved in the future, you have to see that such a high price needs a significant capitalization.
That's why I wanted to do a math exercise to better understand how supply and demand works in financial assets, and the reason why famous assets like Ethereum have a price of $340 while an asset that just entered the market as Yearn.Finance (YFI) and gave a lot to talk about, has a price of $20,000, which is higher than Bitcoin.
For this we have to see in the coinmarketcap, the capitalization of each currency and the current offer to see as soon as the capitalization is divided, and besides this we can estimate the possible price in case the currency becomes popular, for example, in this case we are going to analyze Link.
It has a market capitalization of $3,140,000,000 and a supply and circulation of 350,000,000 link, what we should do is divide the market capitalization by the circulating supply and we will have a price of approximately $8.97, which is consistent with its current price.
Now let's see if Link has a market cap equal to that of Ethereum, which is $39,139,000,000, in this case the price should be approximately $111.18.
It can be estimated that Link would need an increase in popularity equal to that of Ethereum, which requires a lot of effort and time in the market.
This is the way we can see how realistic some people's analysis can be when they express that the coins can be worth $2,000 without taking into account the amount of supply in circulation or the capitalization compared to other more popular coins in crypto

En todas las alt seasons podemos ver como hay personas que dicen que las monedas van a están aumentando de precio de manera importante, algunos dicen que pueden aumentar en 20 o 30 veces el precio que tienen actualmente y si bien es algo que puede ocurrir, también es algo que usualmente no ocurre y tenemos que saber ver la realidad para evitar ingresar en un mercado que está en sobrecompra y a punto de caer.
En la última corrida alcista de altcoins puede escuchar a personas decir que Link va a llegar a los 2.000 en un caso extremo y en otros casos que puede llegar a 200$, y si bien puede ser algo que lograría en el futuro, hay que ver que un precio tan alto necesita de una capitalización importante.
Es por esto que quería hacer un ejercicio de matemáticas para entender mejor cómo funciona la oferta y demanda en los activos financieros, y la razón por la que activos tan famosos como Ethereum tiene un precio de 340$ mientras que un activo que apenas acaba de ingresar al mercado como Yearn.Finance (YFI) y que dio mucho para hablar, tiene un precio de 20.000, que es mayor que el de Bitcoin.
Para esto tenemos que ver en el coinmarketcap, la capitalización de cada moneda y la oferta circulante para ver en cuanto se divide la capitalización, y además de esto podremos estimar el precio posible en caso de que la moneda se haga popular, por ejemplo, en este caso vamos a analizar a Link.
Tiene una capitalización de mercado de 3.140.000.000$ y una oferta e circulación de 350.000.000 link, lo que debemos hacer es dividir la capitalización de mercado entre la oferta circulante y tendremos un precio aproximado de 8.97$, que es coherente con su precio actual.
Ahora veamos si Link llega a tener una capitalización igual a la que tiene Ethereum, que es de 39.139.000.000 $, en este caso el precio debe estar en 111.18$ aproximadamente.
Puede hacerse una estimación de que Link necesitaría de un aumento en su popularidad igual al que tiene Ethereum, lo que requiere de mucho esfuerzo y tiempo en el mercado.
Esta es la forma en que podemos ver que tan realista pueden ser los análisis que hacen algunas personas cuando expresan que las monedas pueden llegar a valer 2.000$ sin tomar en cuenta la cantidad de oferta en circulación o la capitalización en comparación con otras monedas más populares en el cripto.
