This time I will tell you about how I lost $400 in a matter of 2 weeks while I saw myself having less and less and doing nothing even though it hurt, and even though it was not a very big sum in real terms, it was 40% of my capital by that time, and all in one operation.

To start with the story, this was last year right after BTC's rise from 7000$ to 10.500$ in one day, and just a couple of days later I joined a trading group that gave signals on the BITMEX platform, which I used for a while until recently, and mainly the group's strategy was based on the RSI overbought and oversold levels along with the liquidation prices of people who were leveraged x100, x50 and x10, according to the candlesticks and price consolidation points.

By the time of the bitcoin pump, there was a slight drop in the price that caused the RSI to be oversold, so the buy signal was given with rebuys in 3% and 8% below the price, in summary what happened is that BTC dropped from $9000 to $6400 and liquidated many people in the group,because in addition to the RSI not working on trends (it gives error), the strategy was based on that we would not use Stoploss because the whales would take us out of the market, so we endured a drop of more than 20% in a few days, and many with a risk management worse than I had, lost the entire account.

In my case I started investing approximately $30 (if the loss was $400), but as I went down I made some rebuys that left me in the market with $500 (leveraged x10), so I didn't want to be liquidated and put the equivalent of $800 more in bitmex so I didn't get liquidated and made another rebuy, the result is that BTC went down to 6.500$ and I was one of the few that were left in the group without being liquidated, but I had a loss of 0.06 btc accumulated that I did not want to let go, until I could not take it anymore and I had to leave the position.

I know a person who lost 2000$ in that same operation, and my great learning was, never follow blindly another person who gives signals, and always place a stoploss, no matter if I hit the stop and return, because the result of not having done so was that I started with a position of 30$ and but 2 weeks later I lost 400$ for having bought back in a clearly downward trend.

Since I don't have much time in Hive yet and I don't know other people here, and the other investors I know don't have an account in Hive yet, I won't be able to invite other people to the challenge

Esta vez les comentare sobre la forma en que perdí 400$ en cuestión de 2 semanas mientras yo mismo veía como cada vez tenía menos y no hacía nada aunque me dolía, y aunque no era una suma muy grande en términos reales, si llego a ser un 40% de mi capital para ese momento, y todo en una sola operación.

Para comenzar con la historia, esto fue el año pasado justo luego de la subida de BTC de 7000$ a 10.500$ en un día, y justo un par de días después ingrese a un grupo de trading que daba señales en la plataforma BITMEX, la cual llegue a usar por un tiempo hasta hace poco, y principalmente la estrategia del grupo se basaba en los niveles de sobrecompra y sobreventa del RSI junto a los precios de liquidación de las personas que estaban apalancadas x100, x50 y x10, según los cierres de las velas y puntos de consolidación de precio.

Para el momento del pump de bitcoin, hubo una leve baja el precio que hizo que el RSI estuviera en sobreventa, por lo que se dio la señal de compra con recompras un 3 y 8% por debajo el precio, en resumen lo que ocurrió es que BTC bajo de 9000$ a 6400$ y líquido a muchas personas en el grupo, porque además de que el RSI no funciona en tendencias (da error), la estrategia se basaba en que no usaríamos Stoploss porque las ballenas irían a sacarnos del mercado, entonces aguantamos una caída de más del 20% en pocos días, y muchos con una gestión del riesgo peor que la que yo tuve, liquidaron la cuenta completa.

En mi caso comencé invirtiendo 30$ aproximados (si la perdida fue de 400$), pero conforme bajo hice unas recompras que me dejo adentro del mercado con 500$ (apalancados x10), por lo que no quería que me liquidara e ingrese el equivalente a 800$ más en bitmex para que no me liquidara e hice otra recompra, el resultado es que BTC bajo hasta los 6.400$ y era de los pocos que quedábamos en el grupo sin haber sido liquidados, pero tenida una pérdida de 0.06 btc acumulados que no quería dejar soltar, hasta que no pude más y tuve que salir de la posición.

Conozco a una persona que perdió 2000$ en esa misma operación, y mi gran aprendizaje fue, nunca seguir ciegamente a otra persona que dé señales, y siempre colocar un stoploss, no importa que me toque el stop y se devuelva, porque el resultado de no haberlo hecho fue que comencé con una posición de 30$ y pero 2 semanas después perdí 400$ por haber recomprado en una tendencia claramente bajista.

Ya que aún no tengo mucho tiempo en Hive y no conozco a otras personas aquí, y los otros inversores que conozco aun no tienen cuenta en Hive, no podre invitar a otras personas al challenge
