Two news that have given a lot to talk about in the last few weeks are Warren Buffet's investment in a mining company (Barrick Gold), and the purchase of Bitcoin by MicroStrategy, which had a second part two days ago.

Both news have something in common, and it refers that these two people (Warren Buffet and the CEO and MicroStrategy) made a change of thinking regarding the investments they just made, for example, Warren Buffet referred to gold as a very bad investment because it can't give us dividends, and I agree with him in this aspect, but we also have to put what was happening in context.

It meass that Warren Buffet said it at a time when gold did not seem to give us a good upward sign as it is doing now, let's remember that historically it has had few ups, so its investment could have been stagnant for several years until reaching this moment, so he was very right when he expressed that about gold.

On the other hand, we have that MicroStrategy CEO, Michael Saylor, said in 2013 that Bitcoin had no future like online gambling companies, and let's go back to what happened with Warren Buffet, in 2013 Bitcoin was not as popular, or had a price like the current one or was even close to a crisis like the one we have today, we have to know that in 2013 the situation was completely different than what it is today.

It's very possible that other investors who previously criticized Bitcoin will arrive. Only time will tell who these new capitals will be, but what can't be denied is that we currently live in a global economic environment that is far removed from what it used to be at the beginning of the 2010's.

And the great lesson that this leaves us is that as we say in my country "Never say, I will not drink this water", because you never know if there might come a time when you decide, I drink this water or I die.

Likewise we must see the investments, perhaps today many investments do not seem attractive, especially those that are started, but we do not know what could happen in the future, as for example the case of LEND in an article I published recently.

Maybe what we don't see today as the future (DeFi) because they seem to be in a bubble, could surpass Bitcoin in the future, who knows, but what I do know is that if in the future they show me that it's worth investing, I will do it, no matter what price they have (much higher than today) and without feeling bad for not having invested today, because I make my decision today with the data I have today, and the decisions I have in the future, I will make them with the data I have in the future, and we must be flexible to make more better decisions, along with data that also changes over time.
