This is a great post.

I'm an old timer when it comes to online communities. But I've only wandered into Hive relatively recently, and I love the way it works.

Day job aside, what I 'do' is music. I have a (very) modest following, but one of the things I've been looking for is a place to house/grow a little community who are interested in what I do. It's not - and never will be, I think - big numbers. And I've played with a few things over the last couple of years - the usual suspects - but not got anything to stick.

But Hive feels like it might be the place to try again, and try a bit harder. So coming across your post was very timely for me. And good advice.
