Simply put, leodex is an internal market https://leodex.io ,it is also a decentralized exchange to trade and manage hive-based tokens. To access leodex, you should be registered and login with your using the hive Keychain as that is the only option available.
One major thing that makes the leodex exchange stand out is its 0.25% fee on charges. This makes it have some distinctive features from its counterpart like hive engine, tribaldex and beeswap. Generally, we can buy and sell, swap, convert hive to leo tokens which can be staked. So basically, it's a trading app for leofinance token and other tokens.
Thus, leodex has been beneficial to the hive layer 2 ecosystem by enabling fast and less expensive transactions. I have login troubles, so can't access my account yet.
