I currently live in a small apartment, approximately 38 square meter in Sweden. A decent town but not in Stockholm where I was born and raised. I work as a mental health nurse, or a cooler title for that would be something like; An assistant nurse specialized in psychiatry. That means, student debt.

I don't have a car, so I go by public transport. That means a bus card. Awesome in these Covid-19 times. Snotty kids while the safety distance is basically at zero as it's usually rather crowded. At least we have Anders Tegnell telling people what to do.. Thanks Anders for your oh so wonderful influence and your amazing recommendations..

I have a phone, a computer, netflix, hbo etc. So, I obviously have an internet connection as well. I'm in the union, and I have a couple of other bills each month. Then we have groceries and whatever you need in your daily life. I will make this rather simple, so I won't include clothes or any form of investments either.

This entire calculation is based on Hive and LEO prices, $0,13 and $0,15 respectively. The numbers are not 100% accurate, but rather close.

  • Rent - 3800 SEK
  • Electricity - 800 SEK
  • Bus card - 625 SEK
  • Student Debt - 1650 SEK
  • Phone - 195 SEK
  • Internet/TV - 850 SEK
  • Various - 2000 SEK
  • Groceries - 2500 SEK

Various = Smaller bills such as Netflix, Union, HBO etc. Groceries = Food and whatever things I may need at home.

Total Monthly Costs:

That being calculated, said and shown, you can see that my monthly expenses are approximately 12420 SEK per month. That equates to 1420 USD, 10921 Hive and 9464 LEO tokens at these prices..

If I dig a little bit deeper, I could guesstimate that my Hive rewards is somewhere between 20 and 25 in total for each piece of content I publish, so let's go with 20 Hive on average.

On LEOFinance, by looking at my rewards, it's safe to say that I have been rather lucky which I am obviously grateful. I also haven't been using LEOFinance for that long yet so it's early to state an average, but let's go with 20 LEO judging by the most recent numbers.

This average is what I keep, and not the total amount of rewards of the posts. Throw in the rewards I manage to get for my comments and we're up to about the same or even slightly better results on LEO compared to Hive.

Let's go with 25 Hive and 25 LEO instead, just to make things even easier.

At my current pace with the current value of Hive and LEO tokens (still using $0,13 and $0,15 respectively during the calculation), this equates to $3,25 and $3,75. That's a total of 7 USD.

Not life-changing by any means, but still a nice side-income for doing things I enjoy and am passionate about. I connect with people, I write and I contribute in ways I would totally have missed out on if I never would've gotten into this adventure. But, this is also based on the current prices.. Imagine if we reached $1. That is not impossible for either Hive or LEO. My average of 7 USD would increase rapidly.

If I still had the same results of 25 LEO and 25 Hive for each article I published, and the value of the tokens would increase to $1, things would be really interesting. And also life-changing.

At $1 for both tokens, I would sit at 50 USD for each article I wrote. I don't publish things daily, but I try to be as active as I can. Once again, to make things easy to understand and simple, let's take a look at my monthly earnings if I would produce 1 post per day:

25 LEO + 25 Hive = 50 Tokens at $1. $50/day x 30 days = 1500 USD per month.

A lot of 'if's', but do you remember what I showed you earlier? My monthly costs in USD is about $1420, so at the price of $1 for Hive and LEO respectively, if I continued to have the same average results and if I were to publish 1 article per day, I would actually be able to live off of Hive and LEO.

  • How cool is that?!

Based on the actual numbers I have compared to how things would've been in the scenario I have described, I earn 2555 USD per year as of right now. At these prices. With $1 LEO and Hive tokens, 18250 USD is what it would've looked like.. That's a total difference of 15695 USD.

Talk about 'making bank' for doing what I've done for free over the last two decades.

I do understand that this might sound rather unrealistic for some, and I personally don't count on ever having such outstanding results either, but I am totally certain of the fact that Hive and LEO is a bargain right now. Both tokens are worth more than what they are going for at this point and I am positive that it will show in the near future.. In the meantime, I'll continue to have fun while growing my stake.

It sure sounds amazing to be able to reach such crazy numbers that I've just talked about though..

  • That would be truly life-changing.
