I don't have much of a game plan here

I think that is totally fine. I don't usually have real plans for things like this either, as I tend to be disappointed if I don't reach my goals. I'll just make sure to do whatever I want, because I want to do it, and because it's fun. As long as I can continue to have fun while doing things, everything will be better. And easier too for that matter. :)
