Well, a referral program is often called word-of-mouth marketing because it rewards existing customers/users for sending new customers/users to a specific product/website/shop.

I could obviously see why some people would love to get something for getting people on board, and how that potentially could bring a lot of people to Leo or Hive in general as well.. What I don't really understand is why everyone isn't doing this already, as it will benefit us in the long haul. Without the extra payment for bringing in people.

We obviously have people doing what they can on Twitter etc, but more people talking about Leo (or Hive), would mean greater results. That being said, if someone come up with a really decent idea of how a potential referral program would be, I'd be all for it. As long as it's doable for everyone.
