The note also shows an image of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam crowned by his late father, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Sir Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, with the background of Jame Ast Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque.

Among the security features of the commemorative note is the complex window in the shape of the Royal Shield (Kelasak) which reveals the portrait of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam during the celebration of the silver Jubilee Accession to the Throne, the Mahkota as well as an embossed number 50. The number 50 on the top right corner of the note shows a newly introduced security feature call spark live.

Reverse- Features an image of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the People's Monarch, interacting with the members of the public accompanied by His Royal Highness Price Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince, reflecting their concern and care towards the subjects.

The reserse side of the note also has a new security feature call avalon- a flourescent security feature which changes colour when exposed to a weak or medium mechanical impulse.

The note is yellow in colour to signify the royal colour.
