Erecting a statue to an important personality in some of the outstanding human activities can have many meanings, they are generally associated with tributes, remembrance, or memory, sometimes they are also related to power.

Here in my country we have a fascination for the iconographies of power, in recent years, for example, a former president who had only one term and was replaced by his wife, died early and given that his family continued to hold the maximum authority in the state, his busts and statues began to rise throughout the national territory, in significant quantities; his images were only outnumbered by the streets and avenues baptized with his name. Even at the headquarters of Unasur in Ecuador, there was a statue of this character that was strategically located at the entrance, after a quarter of an hour of fame, overshadowed by acts of corruption, it was removed and stowed in some dark corner of a forgotten warehouse.

I found out a few days ago that the first statue dedicated to Satoshi Nakamoto was inaugurated in Budapest, the capital of Hungary; It honestly surprised me for a couple of reasons: 1 it is not known who he is (it is even said that he is not a single person) and 2) it is not even known if he is alive or were, quite a challenge to make a statue.

Despite these questions, András Györfi, editor of Kripto Akadémia, the most outstanding news site in Hungary specialized in cryptographic activity, has had the idea that has finally been embodied with the collaboration of other important actors in the activity in the country. The monument has been located in Graphisoft Park, a business park used by various technology companies.

As we already said, since nothing is known about the person, the statue represents a generic human figure since the gender, race, or age of the mysterious ideological character of bitcoin cannot be determined.

The figure has been outlined wearing a kind of jacket or hoodie and has the Bitcoin logo on his chest. The material chosen to mold the image is bronze and a particular and ingenious detail stands out when approaching: the face is made with a special compound of bronze and aluminum, when the visitor approaches and looks at Satoshi's face, they see their own reflected.

At that moment everyone can say I am Satoshi!

Erigir una estatua a una personalidad importante en alguna de las actividades humanas destacadas puede tener muchos significados, generalmente se las asocia con los homenajes, el recuerdo o la memoria, en ocasiones también se las emparenta con el poder.

Aquí en mi país tenemos una fascinación por las iconografías al poder, en los últimos años, por ejemplo, han proliferado las de un ex presidente que tuvo un solo mandato y fue reemplazado por su esposa, falleció tempranamente y dado que su familia continuaba detentando la máxima autoridad en el estado, sus bustos y estatuas comenzaron a levantarse en todo el territorio nacional, en cantidades importantes;, sus imágenes solo fueron superadas en número por las calles y avenidas bautizadas con su nombre. Hasta en la sede de la Unasur en Ecuador hubo una estatua de este personaje que se ubicó estratégicamente en la entrada, pasado el cuarto de hora de su fama, opacada por hechos de corrupción, fue retirada y estibada en algún oscuro rincón de un olvidado depósito.

Me enteré hace pocos días que, en Budapest, capital de Hungría, se ha inaugurado la primera estatua dedicada a Satoshi Nakamoto; sinceramente me causó sorpresa por un par de motivos: 1 no se sabe quién es (hasta se dice que no es una sola persona) y 2) no se sabe siquiera si está vivo ni dónde, todo un desafío hacer una estatua.

No obstante estos interrogantes, András Györfi, editor de Kripto Akadémia, el sitio de noticias más sobresaliente de Hungría especializado en la actividad criptográfica, ha tenido la idea que finalmente se ha plasmado con la colaboración de otros importantes actores de la actividad en el país. El monumento ha sido emplazado en el Graphisoft Park, un parque empresarial utilizado por varias compañías de tecnología.

Como ya dijimos, al no conocerse nada de la persona, la estatua representa una figura humana genérica ya que no se puede determinar el género, la raza ni la edad del misterioso personaje ideólogo del bitcoin.

La figura ha sido delineada llevando una especie de campera o sudadera con capucha y ostenta el logo de Bitcoin en su pecho. El material elegido para moldear la imagen es el bronce y un detalle particular e ingenioso resalta al acercarse: la cara está confeccionada con un compuesto especial de bronce y aluminio, cuando el visitante se acerca y mira el rostro de Satoshi, ve reflejado el suyo propio.

En ese momento cada uno se puede decir ¡yo soy Satoshi!
