Today unfortunately I have to comment again on another similar news, in this case of two brothers of only 18 and 20 years of age Ameer and Raees Cajee who, adducing the same type of excuses, closed the operations of their cryptocurrency company called Africrypt, which had been operating with significant success in South Africa since 2019.

The site reportedly ceased operations and prevented several hundred customers from accessing their accounts in early 2021, according to its owners and administrators who were victims of a theft that emptied bitcoin holdings estimated at 70,000.

The aforementioned theft was carried out precisely in the period when the price of the cryptocurrency reached its all-time high.

As it is not surprising, the site operated similarly to other infamous in recent times, providing its clients astonishingly high returns Again, the explanation reminds us of the embezzlement with variants of the Ponzi style.

According to statements by the brothers, they couldn't track the movements of cryptocurrencies since proxies and replicators were used for the malicious maneuver that involved complex jumps between nodes linked to the deep web.

It is not clear if this has been proven, what is true is that in South Africa there are no regulations on cryptocurrencies and the country's financial authorities do not have the tools to intervene.

Hoy lamentablemente me toca volver a comentar sobre otra noticia similar, en este caso de dos hermanos de tan solo 18 y 20 años de edad Ameer y Raees Cajee quienes, aduciendo el mismo tipo de excusas, cerraron las operaciones de su empresa de criptomonedas denominada Africrypt, que operaba con significativo éxito en Sudáfrica desde el año 2019.

Según se informó, el sitio dejó de operar e impidió el acceso a sus cuentas a varios cientos de clientes a principios de este año 2021, según sus propietarios y administradores fueron víctimas de un robo que vació las tenencias de bitcoins estimados en unos 70.000.

La mencionada sustracción se llevó a cabo justamente en el período en que el precio de la criptomoneda alcanzaba su máximo histórico.

Como no es de extrañar, el sitio operaba de forma similar a otros tristemente célebres en los últimos tiempos brindando a sus clientes rendimientos asombrosamente altos, otra vez la explicación nos hace acordar a los desfalcos con variantes del estilo Ponzi.

De acuerdo a declaraciones de los hermanos, les fue imposible rastrear los movimientos de las criptomonedas ya que para la maniobra dolosa se utilizaron proxis y replicadores que implicaron complejos saltos entre nodos vinculados a la web profunda.

No está claro si esto se ha podido comprobar, lo que si es cierto es que en Sudáfrica no hay regulaciones sobre criptomonedas y las autoridades financieras del país no tienen herramientas como para intervenir.

Esta estafa con criptomonedas, de comprobarse, sería la más grande ocurrida en el mundo con una pérdida de aproximadamente 2500 millones de dólares calculado al valor actual de BTC, se suma a otra ocurrida en el mismo país a fines del año anterior por parte de Mirror Trading International.

Los príncipes superaron al rey o como diría mi abuela: el alumno superó al maestro.
