Just did my final power down on steem and powered up some hive to crack 150k hivepower. I am fully expecting Steem to pump now that everyone's power downs are done. But regardless of the trading opportunities I just could not hold any steem given what has been going on over there with the censorship and seizure of funds. So I have doubled down over here; I am in this for the long run. As a content producer I need a decentralized platform like Hive to succeed as it's critical to having a viable career as a photographer. Web 2 has been clamping down hard on organic reach and shifting all my accounts to requesting paid reach. Hard not to feel a bit giulty being able to sell steem into a market shielded from all the major dumpers after the hard fork 0.23 heist. In a strange way the steem heist where 23 million steem were stolen from the key hive supporters has helped to further decentralize hive and helped the smaller accounts power down their steem for a reasonable price and power it up over on hive. All eyes now on Bittrex and the stolen community32 funds. If Bittrex does a disbursement to the owners on the exchange expect steem to dump hard. If not I expect steem to actually pump now the dumping will be drying up. Time will tell; but I think steem pumping can only be good news for hive regardless for the media attention it will bring and the expectation that Hive will pump in turn will be self forfilling. Like always, time will tell !

This is actually a large version of my profile picture. Its a selfie taken while tramping the Queen Charlotte Track. The track is in the Marlborough Sounds in the South Island, New Zealand.
