I'm approaching an important life decision. By the end of January, I need to be fully vaccinated or I will lose my job. I'm not looking to discuss that choice in detail in this post, but suffice to say I'm weighing my options.

My AskLEO question is:

Are you full-time crypto?

My situation is that both my wife and I work for the same company. We are "one-in-all-in" as a couple, so its either both of us get the Vax and keep our jobs, or both of us opt out and go from two incomes to zero. The idea is scary, to be honest, and puts significant pressure on me to be able to provide for my family, and maintain the lifestyle we have worked our butts off to get to. We have been grinding for years and years to pay down debts, and get to a comfortable position, and it scares me to put all that at risk.

On the other side, between yield farming in DeFi, staking returns and an assortment of HIVE based income, I think I can currently make enough to cover our lost income. To be frank, I'd need to be able to take out $1500 USD per week to maintain our current lifestyle. That is a big ask, and relying on crypto when the market could crash at any time is scary.

On the other side, the job is crap. The pressure is relentless, the understaffing is endless, and the frequent abuse and scorn from entitled customers who's order might be half an hour late is relentless. My wife has been stressed out and depressed to the point of needing anti-depressants recently. We are currently on holiday's, thank goodness, because if we didn't get some time off to relax and de-stress soon who knows where things would have ended up. We work in the online department of a major Australian supermarket and have worked right through the entire Covid outbreak without any breaks. Good enough to work through all that, but from the end of January not good enough if we are not vaxed. And it's not going to get any easier. All this for a company that doesn't care, and a well below average weekly earnings paycheck.

What is your experience?

I'm interested to hear from people that are full-time crypto. What are you doing to make sure you can keep the bills payed? Are you happy? What ways do you make enough to draw an income without hurting your capital base? Is it really possible for someone with no coding or programming skills, and not a huge capital base.

I'd love to hear thoughts and experiences from anyone that has ditched (or been pushed out of) the fiat day job and used crypto to fund their life 100%

Reply's to this post would be great, but if you would like to make a full post out of your response, please do so and drop the link in a comment here. Could be a good topic for a post from people, and interesting for many who could be in a similar situation, facing a similar choice to me.

Thanks in advance for your responses everyone.

Cheers,

JK.

P.S. @khaleelkazi, have you got any work going for Leofinance for a non-dev? Will work for crypto.
