It is some times uncontrollable to fall victim to hacks with password being compromised and all the possible loopholes the hacker takes advantage of in executing the hack but what is unacceptable is falling for things like...

send 1 Bitcoin, receive 2 back

regardless of the coin/token.

A “giveaway” scam claimed another victim today after someone ended up sending a whole Bitcoin (≈$11,300) to its address, according to on-chain alerts service Scam Alert. Source

The transaction occurred when someone sent the Bitcoin to an address linked to “teslafreegift.com,” a site registered this October which is not connected to the official Tesla company. Source

You really don't want to be falling for cheap scams as this, giveaways with me send certain amount to receive double or triple whatever it may be have been a common bait which people should be well aware of by now and just look away when they see such.
At time if we put a bit of common sense to use, it will definitely pay off!
