We are just now getting through the innovators stage

Bitcoin may seem like it's mainstream, or at least getting there, but it's really not even close.

Currently only 2.4% of the world's population own bitcoin.

That number still puts bitcoin squarely in the innovators stage in terms of adoption cycles.

The good news?

Just a few years ago we are roughly half of where we are today.

With the Paypal news today we are likely on the cusp of a big surge up in terms of adoption and probably price as well.

When my neighbor starts chatting me up about bitcoin while we are getting the mail I will start to be concerned, we aren't anywhere near that level yet.

Bitcoin breaking $20k will also help speed up the adoption cycle.
