Over the last few days I've diverted some of my college fund into buying into tokens and while this sounded like a no-brainer to the people I know who have apparently told me that I need not put my college fund at risk by being greedy with the chance of getting returns from having put money into something not so physical as a real time business which is in turn built on a stable currency. However I believe that I'm not the type of guy that might sit behind a desk and live on a meagre, worse, single salary that only fends for my immediate needs without a prospect for futuristic planning. In other words; living from hand to mouth.

The world itself might be wealthy in natural resources which is of course controlled by the government (oligarchs under pretence of democracy) but how does this transcends to singular individuals? The world's wealth isn't decentralised at all and that's why there's been no flow of wealth from the people who owns it up the people who really needs it. I used to work in a particular firm and for seven years I helped built this business from a small scale business to a huge contenders with maximised profit to the owner in seven years of putting in extra effort while the increase in salary was just as meagre as almost nothing.

In truth, I helped built this man's business and it improved, however this development and growth didn't really influenced me financially well. In other words, I earned little for doing more and while this man's worth grew, I depreciated in health, financially and psychologically. Although I am no longer working there now, but he's still enjoying fruition of the hard work I put in for a lot of years. Which means that he paid for a limited amount of time but the service I rendered him will forever increase his bank account and this is what I found to be unfair about working in a firm where one's means of earning is just their income alone.

The reason why people sometimes find it difficult to attain the wealth status is because they're only dependent on one source of income, which of course relies on working in a firm where their services is worth more than what they're paid and this is the opposite of decentralising wealth to the world rather than having it in a place where it wouldn't do any good. The dichotomy is huge and sadly this is the reality. Blockchain and cryptocurrency gives people a better chance of having their cake while eating it. I can't say I'm financially free but I'm freer than working for almost nothing in Africa teachers are the most underpaid people and it's no wonder why the quality of education in places like Nigeria is a huge joke.

Back to business?

Truth is the right resources isn't channelled to the right sector and while human being and corruption is the reason for this, we need transparency and this isn't something that's synonymous to centralisation. Oh democracy is meant to be decentralized, "at the grassroot level" but no! Governance and corruption has made it a cake for "the selected few". So, irrespective of the flaws of crypto and blockchain projects I can say I love the ability it gives one to chose whether to be financially free from the imbalance we see everywhere or miss out the future because of the fear of uncertainty. I'm gladly grateful to the right people and for outstanding people like @khaleelkazi thanks for creating the Leo project on hive and @taskmaster4450 cheers to decentralising the future.
