Another quarter, and another record for Grayscale

It seems like this has been happening just about every quarter, and that's because it pretty much has.

With every passing quarter Grayscale is seeing more and more inflows from new and existing clients.

This most recent quarter ending June 30th saw $906 million worth of inflows, a new record.

Their full results can be seen here:

Multiple records for Grayscale...

It wasn't just the total inflows during the quarter that was a new record, there were several records broken for Grayscale...

  • Largest quarterly inflow ever ($906 million)
  • First time ever total inflows during 1H of 2020 surpassed $1 billion
  • More BTC inflows into Grayscale than have been created since May Halving
  • Ethereum Trust saw 15% of total inflows, largest ever
  • Litecoin Trust saw it's largest inflows ever

As you can see there were several records set during this most recent quarter and first half of this year.

Also, interesting to note, the inflows coming into Grayscale are coming more from new investors than they have traditionally...

As you can see, new investors account for a great percentage of inflows (and a higher total) than the previous 12 months.)

Now this is interesting...

If you get some time I would go ahead and give that report a read, it's very interesting.

In my opinion the most interesting development as of late is the fact that new investors and existing investors are starting to purchase altcoins.

Both the Ethereum and Lite Trusts saw their largest inflows ever as well as their largest take of the overall inflow percentage.

I think this is pretty clear evidence that institutional investors are showing up in a major way.

And not only are they buying bitcoin, but they are buying altcoins too.

I think this bodes very well for where prices are going to go in the coming months for both bitcoin and altcoins.

Stay informed my friends.
