Good morning, friends.

Wake up, grab some coffee, and look at yourself in the mirror. Cool, thanks. Just wanted you to see what success looks like. You're going to make today your bitch. My mom always used to tell me that when I was having a not so great day. She even got me a keychain that says "make today your bitch" a few years ago and I still love it to this day. Thanks Mom, I love you. Anyway, I've got my coffee and weed ready so it's time to share my next DeFi/Gaming experiment - dCity.

dCity

So after seeing a few posts here and there about dCity, I finally decided it was time to play with it. @forexbrokr did a post yesterday talking about investing in dCity NFTs vs. in dCity SIM here so go check that out and show him some love. After a quick skim of the Info tab on dCity, I jumped straight in. After all, who reads directions? Not this guy. I go full ape and figure things the fuck out like humans are supposed to. You know, Improvise, Adapt, Overcome. Or whatever that fucking saying is.

So I had around 20 SWAP.HIVE sitting on Hive Engine and figured I would just play with those funds first. Based off @forexbroker advice, I used the in game Swap tab to swap my SWAP.HIVE over to SIM so get cards at a discount. This is because the SIM price is dipping right now so it's cheaper to Mint cards with 800 SIM than it is with 4 Hive. At the time of writing, 800 SIM is about 0.85 HIVE which is insanely cheap! So off I went to Buy some in game NFTs because why not?

At this point, I just went for it. I minted 13 cards right off the bat. I figured that's a good place to start. I had no idea what any of the cards did or how the game actually worked until I started playing with it. Balancing out your city gets kind of addictive. I noticed that some of my cards were inactive, so I sold a couple. Not knowing how it worked, I realize now I could have just increased my population in order to have enough workers for the cards to be active. Whatever, it was a good opportunity to explore the market and understand how it works. Very similar to Hive Engine or any other DEX. You can do market or limit orders based on prices.

As I kept playing with it and trying to balance my city out I started to focus more on Income. I want those sweet, sweet SIM payouts. I realize that just holding SIM will get you payouts every day, probably more quickly than building a city. But what fun is that? I want to learn the mechanics more than I want to earn a couple dollars quick.

My attempt at balancing. To be fair, I was also a little drunk and VERY high when I was doing all this. Maybe someone that plays and has a better understanding of the game can take a look at my city and give me some pointers. I would greatly appreciate any feedback or tips! I get sucked into things and obsess over the details so I wanna figure this thing out!

Am I doing anything right?

If you play lemme know what you think please. If you don't and want something new to experiment with, check it out. With SIM prices low it's cheap to get started.

Thanks for reading.

Peace.
