LeoGlossary Is Expanding To Help Leofinance
There are a lot of projects that are forming around Leofinance. This is one of the more diverse communities on Hive.
Of course, one of the earliest ones was LBI. This was started in an effort to support the platform. So far, LBI remained committed to its focus, becoming one of the larger LP holders along with partaking in some of Leo's off-chain DeFi offerings.
As we all struggle through the cryptocurrency bear market, we have to keep in mind that price is determined by lunatics. Markets are neurotic. Hence, we cannot expect them to value anything appropriately. After all, the main emotions of markets are fear and greed. It is why the two states seem to be FUD and FOMO.
Nevertheless, we are seeing more value being built. The latest addition from the Leofinance team is the development of LeoThreads. This brings microblogging to Hive, something that many are still not aware of. At this point, Twitter is in the news, due to Elon Musk, yet we have the ability right here on Leofinance. Actually, any frontend could tap into it since all activity is on the base layer.
LeoGlossary
For those who follow my articles and videos, you know I started LeoGlossary a few months back. This is based upon the idea of duplicating Investopedia or Wikipedia on the blockchain. Since we have a decentralized database that requires no permission to interact. The only requirement is to have enough Resource Credits to post.
We are now approaching 2,000 posts out of the LeoGlossary account. Each page is either a term with the definition/explanation or a list of links to terms that are similar. This is what makes Wikipedia rank so high in search engines.
We are also going to take things to the next level. In the next few days, things will be finalized where LeoGlossary will be started in Spanish. This means that content in that language can have links in the native language. I have no idea how the search engines feel about this but Spanish based content is vital for Hive's future.
This is one example of how a project can expand. Every link created within LeoGlossary is to Leofinance. Even though content on Hive can be accessed through any frontend, the links themselves are all Leofinance based. With the new development of the website, hopefully we will see much better optimization for search engine rankings.
Either way, we will keep building LeoGlossary until it becomes the largest database of financial, cryptocurrency, investing, and blockchain terms.
Hive And Splinterlands
There are two areas we are already looking at getting ahead of the curve. They are:
At the moment, both of these are rather small in their respective genres. We know that Hive is basically off the radar when it comes to cryptocurrency. Spliterlands has done well with blockchain gaming yet is miniscule in the gaming world.
Nevertheless, by establishing the glossaries now, we can ride the wave of popularity as both platforms gain recognition.
Thus, the effort today will pay off in the future as the network effects start to kick in.
Here we see the value of blockchain. It seems like all of this is separate from each other. The reality is it all feeds the same pool. Hive cannot be separated from Leofinance or vice versa. The success of one automatically helps the other.
LBI is going to ride whatever wave Leofinance provides. Projects like LeoGlossary can enhance what is occurring with this platform.
