Two days ago I published a post in which I shared some of my calculations, hypothesis and considerations on the convenience or not to participate to the Chaos Legion presale.
Yesterday, the Splinterlands team held an AMA (Ask Me Anithing) that cleared up some doubts about the presale and highlighted additional benefits for those who will participate in the presale.

Bonus Bulk Purchase
As stated in the post published by Splinterlands (AMA):
To receive the 20%, 15%, and 10% bonus amounts, you need to do buy as a single transaction.
To receive the additional card packs as a bonus, you need to buy the minimum number of card packs necessary to receive the bonus in a single transaction. For example, if you buy 50 packs of cards in a first transaction and 50 packs of cards in a second transaction, you will not be eligible for the 10 additional packs bonus. **
Title The Legionnaire, Maverick Status, Limited Edition Promo Card
* Except for the bonus for purchasing multiple packs of cards in a single transaction, all other benefits can be earned in subsequent steps and transactions.
All other pre-sale rewards will accumulate as you buy
The big news to come out of the Splinterlands AMA is that:
Bonus packs will count towards all pre-sale benefits (title, Maverick status, promo card).
So even Bonus packs will count towards all pre-sale benefits. This is an important new feature that allows you to achieve some benefits by buying fewer packs of cards.
Thanks to this new feature, for example, obtaining the title "The legionaire" will be easier! **
Title The Legionnaire
* Thanks to the latest novelty to get the Title The Legionaire will be enough to buy:

870 packs of cards in one transaction (see calculations in the following image).

910 packs of cards (purchase divisible into 8 transactions of 100 packs and one transaction of 110 packs)
Both purchased packs and "The Legionnaire" titles will be immediately counted in the Splintershards token airdrop (SPS) score calculation.
The Legionnaire title will be worth 100000 SPS points.
The Legionnaire title will be worth the same as the Untamed & Explorer titles (100k SPS points). Chaos Legion packs and the Legionnaire title will count towards the SPS airdrop immediately
The Legionnaire title will be cumulative: whoever acquires 2000 packs of cards during the presale will be entitled to 2 titles that will be worth 200k SPS points.
Note: only the packs of cards purchased from the Shop section of the Splinterlands website will be considered for the attribution of the title "The Legionnaire".

Limited Edition Promo Card Airdrop
The additional benefit for those participating in the Chaos Legion presale is the chance to receive one or more limited edition Promo cards**. The features and battle statistics of the card that will be distributed via airdrop to pre-sale participants are not yet known.
But as announced during the AMA the promo card will be a card with strong features:
Teams goal is to make the new promo card awesome and highly sought after.
Note: only the packs of cards purchased from the Shop section of Splinterlands website will be considered for the airdrop of the promo card.
The same applies to the Promo card as before for "The Legionnaire" title, and including bonus packs in obtaining presale benefits will allow you to receive an additional number of Promo cards by buying fewer card packs.
**Every 50 card packs purchased during the presale will be guaranteed to receive 1 limited edition promo card. For every 1000 packs of cards purchased during the presale, you are guaranteed to receive 1 limited edition GOLD promo card. * Whoever buys 1 pack of cards during the presale will have 2% chance to receive via airdrop at the end of the presale one limited-edition promo card. Those who buy 50 packs of cards during the presale will have:
- 2% chance for every pack of cards purchased to receive the limited-edition promo card get the guarantee to receive a limited-edition promo card.

**Those who buy 137 packs of cards in one transaction will get:

New Leaderboard for Chaos Legion presale participants
As announced in the AMA post published by Splinterlands a leaderboard will be introduced in the game to reward players who purchased Chaos Legion card packs during the presale**.
There will be a separate leaderboard page for Chaos Legion pre-sale buyers.
This is another important new feature that introduces an additional benefit and incentive for buyers of Chaos Legion card packs. **

The token Vouchers
Splinterlands is my favorite blockchain game and so far it has given me fun and financial satisfaction. In 23 months of playing and investing on Splinterlands I got a really good profit: + 36201$ for an investment cost of only 524$**.
I would have liked to get 1000 packs of cards in the Chaos Legion presale (purchase of 870 packs of cards in one transaction) but I will not be able to make my desired purchase because I will not receive enough VOUCHER tokens to make the desired purchase
No Voucher = No Party! (No Pack!)
During the presale, 1 million Chaos Legion card packs will be made available for purchase and 1 million Voucher tokens will be distributed at the same time.
The requirement to buy a pack of cards is to have and use a Voucher token.
1 Chaos Legion card pack purchased = 1 token Voucher used

The Voucher token distribution mechanism
Starting on the first day of the presale of the Chaos Legion collection card packs and every day for the duration of 30 days, an amount of 333 Vouchers** will be distributed to players who have staked their SPS tokens according to the following formula:
33333 / total SPS staked * SPS staked by player
Calculate the number of tokens you can receive in relation to the amount of SPS tokens staked is easy thanks to the calculator of the site https://www.splintercards.com/tool-vouchers.html
The updated number of VOUCHER tokens I should receive daily starting October 18, 2021 is 2.45 Voucher tokens per day for a total of 73 Voucher tokens in 30 days.
With 73 token Voucher I will only be able to purchase 73 packs, I will not get any bonus on my purchase and I will only receive 1 guaranteed promo card.
To get to the first case of "Smart" purchase I would have to buy 64 VOUCHER tokens to be able to buy 137 packs of Chaos Legion cards and get 150 packs of cards + 3 promo cards.
Obviously the calculation returned by the Splintercards site is an estimated calculation because if the total amount of SPS tokens staked will increase during the presale and I don't increase the number of SPS tokens staked, the amount of Voucher tokens I will receive will decrease.
In fact two days ago, on October 13, 2021, the number of SPS tokens staked was 135653888 and today it has increased to over 139 million tokens.

What will be the sale value of VOUCHER tokens?
* We will know the answer to this question when there will be the first sales offers on the markets of:
- Hive Engine (https://hive-engine.com/)
- TribalDEX (https://tribaldex.com/)
- LeoDEX (https://leodex.io/)
Voucher tokens will be distributed on the first day of the pre-sale so it's not possible to buy them today but on Hive Engine there are already offers to buy them.
I checked the purchase offers two days ago and the situation remained almost the same. As you can see in the image above, leaving out the first purchase offer which is a fraction of a token (0.001) and therefore irrelevant, user @trifenix has kept his purchase offer and is willing to buy a VOUCHER token for the price of 20 HIVE. There is no longer an offer from user @shauner who has removed his purchase offer (in my opinion he did the right thing). Users @fau12345, @xerxesdave, @snaiper1731, @tornflesh and @kungfukid are willing to buy VOUCHER tokens for the price of about 10 HIVE.
Based on the current value of the HIVE tokens (1 HIVE = $0.772).
20 HIVE = $15.44 10 HIVE = $7.72
If we assume that the average cost of a VOUCHER token will be during the presale of 10 HIVE and the HIVE token will maintain today's value a Voucher token would cost 1.93 times the cost of a pack of Chaos Legion cards.
Those who will not have VOUCHER tokens and want to purchase 137 packs to receive 150 will have to spend:
- **548$ to purchase Chaos Legion card packs ($4 137 card packs).
- 1057.64 for the purchase of VOUCHER tokens (7.72$ * 137 packs of cards).
With this purchase the hypothetical buyer will receive three limited edition promo cards and his purchase will have been profitable if the three promo cards he will receive are worth more than 1057.64$ (in the short or long term) otherwise he will have had a loss.
As announced in the AMA post published by Splinterlands:
Vouchers will not be completely useless after Chaos Legion pre-sale. Current plan is still to require vouchers past pre-sale for a bit (wait for official announcement) Goal is to give the SPS token as much utility as possible Metering out public sale will affect teams income so this decision doesn't benefit team
VOUCHER tokens will play an important role even after the presale. In his helpful post, @rosiew published the following question and answer from the Splinterlands AMA:
On normal sales, is no voucher needed?
The exact details will be published. For some amount of time going forward we still plan to meter out the voucher system but at some point we will remove the voucher system completely. Perhaps bonus packs have to have vouchers (just something we are talking about). We're actually trying to meter out how much money we make from this to slow it down.
So for future updates on the use of VOUCHER tokens we'll have to wait for future announcements from the Splinterlands team.

Conclusion
With this post, I tried to show the most beneficial purchase cases based on the news announced by Splinterlands during the October 15 AMA**, and I hope my post will be useful to those who asked me for advice and to those who will participate in the Chaos Legion presale.
As I wrote in my previous post, my participation in the Chaos Legion presale and the amount of my investment will depend on **two important elements to consider and evaluate:

voucher token sales value.

battle statistics and potential value of the limited edition promo card**.

The changes announced in the AMA by Splinterlands have added benefits to Chaos Legion presale participation and will change the previous purchasing strategies of presale participants. The most important changes are as follows:
- The counting of bonus packs in presale rewards
- A ranking for presale participants
- The immediate validity of purchased card packs and titles received in the calculation of the SPS token airdrop score.

Per ricevere come bonus i pacchi di carte aggiuntivi è necessario comprare il numero di pacchi carte necessari per ricevere il bonus in una singola transazione. Chi ad esempio compra 50 pacchi di carte in una prima transazione e 50 pacchi di carte in una seconda transazione non avrà diritto al bonus dei 10 pacchi aggiuntivi.
Titolo The Legionnaire, Maverick Status, Promo card in edizione limitata
Tranne il bonus relativo all'acquisto di più pacchi di carte in una singola transazione tutti gli altri benefici possono essere acquisiti in passi successivi e con transazioni successive.

La grande novità emersa dall'AMA di Splinterlands è che:

Quindi anche i pacchi bonus concorrono al raggiungimento dei benefici della prevendita. Questa è un'importante novità che permette di raggiungere alcuni benefici comprando un numero minore di pacchi di carte.
Grazie a questa novità, ad esempio, ottenere il titolo "The legionaire" sarà più facile!

Questa è un'altra importante novità che introduce un ulteriore beneficio e incentivo per gli acquirenti dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion.

I vantaggi per chi parteciperà alla prevendita Chaos Legion non saranno uguali per tutti i partecipanti e dipenderanno principalmente dal numero dei pacchi di carte acquistati durante la prevendita.

Una Selezione di Casi di acquisto

Splinterlands è il mio gioco blockchain preferito e fino ad ora mi ha regalato divertimento e soddisfazioni economiche. In 23 mesi di gioco e investimento su Splinterlands ho ottenuto un profitto davvero ottimo: + 36201$ a fronte di un costo di investimento di soli 524$**.
Mi sarebbe piaciuto ottenere 1000 pacchi di carte nella prevendita Chaos Legion (acquisto di 870 pacchi di carte in unica transazione) ma non potrò effettuare il mio acquisto desiderato perchè non riceverò sufficienti token VOUCHER per poter effettuare l'acquisto desiderato

Durante la prevendita saranno resi disponibili per l'acquisto 1 milione di pacchi di carte Chaos Legion e allo stesso tempo saranno distribuiti 1 milione di token Vouchers.
Il requisito per comprare un pacco di carte è avere e utilizzare un token Voucher.
1 pacco di carte Chaos Legion acquistato = 1 token Voucher utilizzato

Il meccanismo di distribuzione dei token Voucher
A partire dal primo giorno della prevendita dei pacchi di carte della collezione Chaos Legion e ogni giorno, per la durata di 30 giorni, un quantitativo di 33333 Voucher** saranno distribuiti ai giocatori che hanno messo in staking i propri token SPS secondo la seguente formula:
33333 / totale SPS staked * SPS staked by player
Calcolare il numero dei token Voucher ricevibili in rapporto al quantitativo di token SPS messi in stake è facile grazie al calcolatore del sito https://www.splintercards.com/tool-vouchers.html
Il numero aggiornato dei token VOUCHER che dovrei ricevere giornalmente a partire dal 18 ottobre 2021 è di 2.45 token Voucher al giorno per un totale di 73 token Voucher in 30 giorni.
Con 73 token Voucher potrò acquistare solo 73 pacchi, non avrò nessun bonus sull'acquisto e riceverò solo 1 carta promo garantita.
Per arrivare al primo caso di acquisto più "Smart" dovrei acquistare 64 token VOUCHER per poter acquistare 137 pacchi di carte Chaos Legion e ottenere 150 pacchi di carte + 3 carte promo.
Ovviamente il calcolo restituito dal sito Splintercards è un calcolo stimato perchè se il totale dei token SPS messi in staking aumenterà durante la prevendita e io non aumento il numero dei token SPS in staking, diminuirà il quantitativo di token Voucher che riceverò.
Infatti due giorni fa, il 13 ottobre 2021, il numero di token SPS messo in staking era di 135653888 mentre oggi è aumentato e ha superato i 139 milioni di token.
Quale sarà il valore di vendita dei token VOUCHER?
La risposta a questa domanda la sapremo quando ci saranno le prime offerte di vendita sui mercati di:
- Hive Engine (https://hive-engine.com/)
- TribalDEX (https://tribaldex.com/)
- LeoDEX (https://leodex.io/)
I token Voucher saranno distribuiti il primo giorno della prevendita e quindi oggi non è possibile comprarli ma su Hive Engine ci sono già delle offerte di acquisto.
Ho controllato le offerte di acquisto due giorni fa e la situazione è rimasta quasi uguale. Come puoi vedere nell'immagine in alto, tralasciando la prima offerta di acquisto che è una frazione di token (0.001) e quindi irrilevante, l'utente @trifenix ha mantenuto la sua offerta di acquisto ed è disposto a comprare un token VOUCHER al prezzo di 20 HIVE. Non c'è più l'offerta dell'utente @shauner che ha ritirato la sua offerta di acquisto (secondo me ha fatto bene). Gli utenti @fau12345, @xerxesdave, @snaiper1731, @tornflesh e @kungfukid sono disposti a comprare i token VOUCHER al prezzo di circa 10 HIVE.
In base al valore attuale dei token HIVE (1 HIVE = 0.772$)
20 HIVE = 15.44$ 10 HIVE = 7.72$
Se ipotizziamo che il costo medio di un token VOUCHER sarà durante la prevendita di 10 HIVE e il token HIVE manterrà il valore odierno un token Voucher costerebbe 1.93 volte il costo di un pacco di carte Chaos Legion.
Chi non avrà token VOUCHER e vorrà acquistare 137 pacchi per riceverne 150 dovrà spendere:
- 548$ per l'acquisto dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion (4$ 137 pacchi di carte)
- 1057.64$ per l'acquisto dei tokne VOUCHER (7.72$ 137 pacchi di carte)
Con questo acquisto l'ipotetico compratore riceverà tre carte promo in edizione limitata e il suo acquisto sarà stato profittevole se le tre carte promo che riceverà avranno un valore superiore a 1057.64$ (nel breve o lungo periodo) altrimenti avrà avuto una perdita.
Come annunciato nel post AMA pubblicato da Splinterlands:
Vouchers will not be completely useless after Chaos Legion pre-sale Current plan is still to require vouchers past pre-sale for a bit (wait for official announcement) Goal is to give the SPS token as much utility as possible Metering out public sale will affect teams income so this decision doesn't benefit team
I token VOUCHER avranno un ruolo importante anche dopo la prevendita. Nel suo utile post, @rosiew ha pubblicato la seguente domanda e relativa risposta dell'AMA di Splinterlands:
On normal sales, is no voucher needed?
The exact details will be published. For some amount of time going forward we still plan to meter out the voucher system but at some point we will remove the voucher system completely. Perhaps bonus packs have to have vouchers (just something we are talking about). We're actually trying to meter out how much money we make from this to slow it down.
Quindi per i futuri aggiornamenti sull'utilizzo dei token VOUCHER dobbiamo aspettare i futuri annunci da parte del team di Splinterlands.
Conclusione
Con questo post ho cercato di mostrare i casi di acquisto più vantaggiosi in base alle novità annunciate da Splinterlands durante l'AMA del 15 ottobre e spero che il mio post possa essere utile a chi mi ha chiesto consigli e a chi parteciperà alla prevendita Chaos Legion.
Come ho scritto nel mio precedente post, la mia partecipazione alla prevendita Chaos Legion e l'ammontare del mio investimento dipenderà da due elementi importanti da considerare e valutare:

valore di vendita dei token Voucher

statistiche di battaglia e valore potenziale della carta promo in edizione limitata.
Nell'immagine seguente c'è la tabella che ho creato che riassume alcuni dettagli importanti della prevendita Chaos Legion.
Le novità annunciate nell'AMA da Splinterlands hanno aggiunto dei benefici alla partecipazione alla prevendita Chaos Legion e modificheranno le strategie di acquisto dei partecipanti alla prevendita. Le novità più importanti sono le seguenti:
- Il conteggio dei bonus pack nelle ricompense della prevendita
- Una classifica per i partecipanti alla prevendita
- La validità immediata dei pacchi di carte acquistati e dei titoli ricevuti nel calcolo del punteggio dell'airdrop dei token SPS.
