Is Dcity a good investment? 1 month later ...

Hello friends, Just over 1 month has passed since I signed up for the dCity** game.

Every month I will do some calculations and write a report to evaluate dCity exclusively from an economic point of view.

So here I am on my first report on dCity.

This report can be useful to anyone who is thinking of registering on dCity and wants to have an idea on a possible investment path to follow.

If this is the first time you have heard of dCity, I will briefly explain what it is. **

What is dCity?

dCity** is a simulation game that allows you to create and govern a virtual city. The city has your name and you must strive to make your city prosper.

The address of the dCity website is: https://dcity.io/ The main information page is: https://dcity.io/info I wrote a tutorial on dCity, you can find it at the following address:

Report Topics

* Here are the topics that I will cover in this monthly report:

  • **Evaluation of dCity as Investment

  • Total Investment Cost

  • Value of my Card Collection

  • Rewards value

    • SIM tokens
    • HIVE reward pool
  • Profit / Loss Calculation

  • ROI

  • Final Considerations**

**

Evaluating dCity as an investment

*

To evaluate an investment, you need to consider the total cost of the investment and the revenues from that investment.

**

Total Investment Cost

To date 22 July 2020 I have invested a total of 510 HIVE on dCity.

With 510 HIVE I purchased 192 cards. *

* To purchase the cards I used:

  • **BUY section of dCity

  • MARKET section of dCity *

**

Value of my Card Collection

The value of my card collection is indicated in the DASHBOARD section of dCity

It is an estimated value as it is the result of the market prices of the cards in my possession. The value is 133K SIM** (NFT of dCity)

Today 22 July 2020 the HIVE value of *133K SIM (Highest Bid on Hive Engine) is: 647.71 HIVE.

**

Rewards Value

In the dCity game there are two types of REWARDS:

  • SIM tokens
  • HIVE reward pool

SIM tokens

* I earn SIM tokens every day based on the income my city produces.

My city income is **423 SIM per day.

423 SIM are the equivalent of 2.06001 HIVE**

**

HIVE reward pool

On dCity there is a ranking based on the number of inhabitants of each city (Population**).

To view the ranking you must click on the section **RANKING as indicated by the arrow in the next image: The top 300 players on the leaderboard receive 1.5% of the Reward Pool.

Currently my city has a population of 791 inhabitants.

*

The population of my city allows me to position myself in position number 200 in the dCity ranking and the last prize I received was **0.476 HIVE.

Profit

(Revenues - Costs)

To calculate the profit I consider the revenues as the sum of the following items:

  • Value of my collection of cards on the market (estimated value: 647.71 HIVE)

  • Total SIM Tokens accumulated and not reinvested (0)

  • Total of the HIVE tokens obtained from the Ranking to date and not reinvested (12,797 HIVE**)

The **costs correspond to a single item:

  • Total investment value (510 HIVE**)

**

Profit = (647.71 + 12.797) - 510 = 149.797 HIVE**

My dollar profit is 34.6 $

**

ROI

(Return On Investment)

*

**

Final Considerations

Is Dcity a good investment?**

If we consider the results calculated above certainly yes, dCity is a good investment at least at the moment.

I am fully satisfied with my investment in dCity.

But

However, important considerations must be made:

  • My city value on dCity is an estimated value. If on the dCity market there was the possibility of making BID offers, it would be possible to determine a precise and immediately monetizable value of the various cards in my possession. My city is worth 647.71 HIVE in case I manage to sell all my cards at market prices. In reality, some cards are easy to sell and some are less.

There are many factors to consider:

  • the future trend of the value of the SIM tokens
  • the number of players who will join dCity in the future
  • the future value of the cards on the market ...
  • the future value of HIVE

dCity more than a game is an investment and mainly as such it must be treated. In every type of investment there is always a risk factor to evaluate and consider.

*Important Note: My report does not want to be in any way an invitation to invest on dCity but it is only the analysis of my personal investment in a month.

I hope you enjoyed this report. My adventure on dCity has just started and, if you like, follow me to read my future posts on dCity;)
