Would you stay in a CryptoBnB in Sri Lanka ?
2022 : Someone's experimenting CryptoBnB in Sri Lanka
New years is only a few days away. I'm thinking about some ideas to generate some additional income flow through Hive and crypto. Some of you already know that I have been homeless twice during my crypto journey I'm haven't shared the real story with the Hive community yet. I guess I will share it when $HIVE hits $5
Thanks to AirBnb, I was able to quit my co-operate job in 2014. I hosted 300 something guests in London with AirBnB. Also I travelled to many places around the world and stayed in many AirBnb as guests.
Only during my solo backpacking travel, I made the decision to go all-in with crypto in 2017. Back then I had a dream to make a small AirBnB guest house in Okinawa, Japan exclusively for crypto citizens. I dropped this idea completely and went all-in with Steem in 2018. Few years have passed, now I'm thinking to do something similar in Sri Lanka.
Going with flow
Early 2021, I had one desire which is to see $1 Hive. Then during my Hive break, I had two personal desires; one is to become debt-free and two is to slowly mend the broken relationship with my wife. I would happily say goodbye to 2021 and I will remember all the lessons learned.
Towards the end of 2021, I was focusing my energy on finding a remote crypto job and making Hive as my side hustle, so that I can reunite my wife and son in Japan. However, my grandfather passing away in November made me visit Sri Lanka. So I came to Sri Lanka and now I feel like relocating back after 20 plus years of living abroad. I haven't made any firm decisions yet and going with the flow and see what the year 2022 will bring.
I have a job interview tomorrow, with my cousin from Norway who has a company based in Europe and is keen to build a small team of developers in Sri Lanka to outsource some of the future projects. I told him that Crypto and Hive is where my heart is but I can see some dots connecting.
Don't wait for the stars to align, reach up and rearrange them the way you want...create your own constellation
Growing up in Sri Lanka, living in London for the most part of my life, my experiences of travelling around the world, able to speak both local languages in Sri Lanka, fluent English and basic Japanese and my experiences with previous AirBnB hosting is making me consider experimenting the idea of CryptoBnB in Sri Lanka next year.
Deep down, I'm truly passionate about crypto and travel. Why not combine both and make a business out of it?
