Life is a game but hive even more so. There are various levels, skills, achievements, groups.

You start at the beginning with little to no knowledge and over time build your account, fill your inventory and raise your level.

Life itself is a game. We go through a lot of the same processes as we grow our life balance. Make connections, build up assets. It's a big game and one that you play for a long time. The biggest problem with it is that you are jumping into another persons game.

The rules are set in their favor. The bosses have full advantage in their world and to get up the levels you have to do it slowly and work at an unfair advantage.

While hive is still a game in the same genre. The rules are different. The game isn't weighted against you.

Sure it has unwritten rules, powerful bosses and the possibility of getting knocked down a few pegs but the system is the same for everybody. The rules are in the code and since everybody can see those rules they are on a level pegging.

Anybody can rise through the different levels by putting in the time and grinding it out. You can pay your way to the top and buy items and influence. You can make good connections and clan up to succeed. Find your tribe and grow as a group.

You can build a project and get others to back your vision. Add something to the system that helps you to grow in the game.

I post about this topic more than anything else on hive.

Long term thinking is key to anything. If you look at the most successful player of any game i would bet that most of them have put thousands of hours into getting there. Hive is no different. The people that i have given the most support to are the ones that have been here every day. We are playing at the same level and have been competing and supporting each other for years.

New players find it hard to get support but they are playing in the lower levels. Trying to get to grips with the game and rise through the ranks. We have all been there and are the ones who didn't give up. Who kept playing and wanted to win the game.

The are still plenty ranks to climb before making it to the top and it will take even more years to do it. But that is where all of the fun is. Growing inventory. Making new connections. Forming groups and powering up to level up.

You don't have to play if you don't like. But if you do you should play to win.
