Did Change on my Splinterland's Strategy worked?

After the Splinterland's introduce the Collection score and league rewards for each league my league performance was below par. I ended on Diamond league at 206th position in last season. Since I have only level 5 summoners and I am constantly facing max summoners, it become pain for me to complete Daily quest also. Since my collection score lies on Diamond league, so I cannot play in Gold league as such because it imposes high penalty for Diamond league player to lose in Gold league.(lower league.)

In end of this current season I decided to look at my account and contemplate what should I do that I can get some best result in the game.

Wow! At the time of writing this post I got into the top 30 of the gold leaderbaoard and having a much better win ratio from my last seasons that read as 292 battles and 153 Wins and max streak as 6.

So what exactly I changed?

My collection power is around 255K that makes me eligible for Diamond league(as it is greater than 250K). I look into my account closely, removed all my "extra"/"duplicate" rewards card copy from my account and bring my collection power to 236K. Now I can play in gold league without having harsh penalty on losing the matches. I think I might end this season with some good rewards in booster pack but still need to wait for season to end and see the final standings.
