Today I log in to my Splinterlands account to play some ranked play but before I start my battles I notice my DEC balance has increased by over 70,000 DEC. I don't remember listing any cards for sale recently so I go to trusty ol' PeakMonsters to view my latest Splinterlands transactions. I come to find out my Alpha LOD has sold for $398.99 USD. This isn't a gold foil/ No it isn't a leveled up card. Its base level one Alpha Legendary.

On the surface that looks like allot of money for a one BCX card that is not gold foil. Heck it looks like allot of money for any NFT card. When Splinterlands first launched and all us OG Players first invested it was a time when there was no game play, just NFT's and a promise of a game. I bet none of us could of imagined back then that a LEVEL ONE None Gold Foil would sell for so much. What is even more insane is I think @version1 has gotten a great deal here and will likely profit nicely from the purchase. Lets take a look at the current Alpha LOD that are for sale and see what they are listed for.

As you can see above the lowest price Level One Alpha LOD will currently cost $900 USD. So congrats to @version1 the LOD you have purchased from me just 14 hours ago has already over doubled in value. For the big spenders out there the best deal on a LOD is currently $313 USD Per BCX if you purchase a MAX Level version. Max level Alpha Legendary cards contain 8 Level One's. This means the total cost would be $2,500 USD. There's only one MAX LOD available at this price and its being sold by @winteradvent. It will be interesting to see if/when it sells.

Amendment:

The cheapest BETA LOD per BCX would be the Max version of the card. It is currently selling for $200 USD per BCX. This Brings the total cost of the Max BETA version LOD to $2,198.40 USD. Beta Max versions need 11 BCX to be created. The one that sold in the opening post is a Level One BETA version that sold for $398.99 USD not an Alpha version like originally reported.
