My latest purchase of 150 LEO went through this morning and I hit 15 000 LEO - and in my head a +5K milestone is worth a quick celebratory and 'account growth tracking reflection' post!

My 100% upvote is now worth > 3 LEO which is noice!

LEO growth in the last month...

In my most recent monthly (June's) 'personal Hive stats tracking post' I had 12100 staked LEO, so I'm up almost 3000 LEO in just 20 days.

According to Hivestats I've earned the following in the last 30 days:

LEO EARNEDTOTAL LEOTOTAL DOLLARSCURATION DOLLARSPOSTING DOLLARS
revisesociology486.3720.470.0519.38
revise.leo373.9015.7414.531.21
TOTAL ROUNDED860 LEO$36$15$21

LEO earnings

I received around 360 LEO in the last month from my leo.voter delegation of around 5000 HP, so I must have bought just <2K LEO which feels about right.

I bought most of that after the recent mini-dump, funny how no one wrote about that one eh?!?!?

LEO accumulation ratios:

  • Curation - Posting = 1:1.25
  • Earned - Bought = 3:1 (once I factor in the LEO received from my delegation)

So I bought around 3.5 times more than I earned, and earned just a tad more writing than I did through curating.

All-time LEO accumulation

I'd quite like to know how I've accumulated my LEO at least since the heroic Fork from that centralised database that shall not be named.

The problem is, I've no easy way of finding out.

I know I've earned around 734.22 from @revise.leo because the only Hive-engine token I hold with that account is LEO.

However, Hivestats tells me I've earned (in total) just >10K LEO through @revisesociology, but that's 10K LEO's worth of all Hive-Engine tokens - and I've picked up a fair amount of PAL and other side-chain tokens on that account, so it's defo not 10K earned LEO.

My gut tells me the ratio is about 2-1 bought to earned.

Best guess is thus that I've bought around 10K LEO and earned the rest.

If someone knows how to trawl through the data here and tell me how much LEO I've bought and how much I've earned that would be great - @dalz maybe?

LEO'S amazing 30% curation return...

I love working out my LEO curation return....

All of my 15K LEO is staked to @revise.leo and I post mainly from @revisesociology, so working out curation returns is easy.

If I take off the tiny bit I earn on comments through @revise.leo (still not bad for commenting!) then I earned around 345 LEO last month from curation:

  • 345*12 = 4140 LEO per annum
  • 4140/ 13500 LEO = 0.30666.... (13500 is roughly my average staked LEO for the month)
  • 0.3 times 100 = a 30% annual return on curation!

Now to my mind it's insane not to accumulate, stake and vote on LEO with a return like that!
