Exode - looks like a sound Hive investment to me!
There's quite a Discord buzz surrounding tonight's long awaited booster pack opening, and just as interesting for me is the fact that @Exodegame is starting to bring new investors into Hive - I noticed one newly created account - @raudell - recently powered up 500 hive, attracted here by the game.
I knew @elindos had been working on this for years already, what I wasn't aware of is that he's been publicising the Exode concept on indie-gaming sites for that length of time too, before finally settling on Hive as a home.
And he's got a mailing list of Exode fans who aren't necessarily on Hive yet, so fingers crossed there are potentially plenty more users that the game will bring to Hive.
This is not only good for Hive, it also looks good for anyone that gets in early on the game, especially anyone that buys one or more of the three really attractive contract offers currently available in the Exode Shop:
- Tom Settler contract is $50 and gives you colonization cards - energy units, prefab living quarters etc.
- Rekatron contract is $50 and gives you.... guns and ammo!
- The Syndicate faction contract goes for $120, but gives you the coolest cards.... ships, characters, drugs and more!
These contracts drop you cards every week - on different days of the week, for life! And then you can either play or sell these cards on the market - it's the equivalent of buying an Exode life-time miner.
Cards I've been dropped so far...
A few of the cards I've got so far...they have different functionalities and characteristics, many of them can be combined and levelled up, burned by dropping on colonies, or kept for use multiple times if you can 'evacuate' with them. They can also be gifted or traded!
It's been really good to see @exodegame getting busier withe the Jsons in recent days.

Useful for the colonisation phase - I think this will be one of the most useful cards there is - pretty much every building in a colony will require energy.
Rekatron
I don't imagine spending too much time attacking other players, but I love the deliberately kitch style of this card! Also the purple denotes a higher level than the grey, again just like rares and epics in Splinterlands!
Syndicate
I've been lucky enough to get two of these, quite a useful initial evacuation ship as I understand it!.
I couldn't resist buying another Syndicate contract last night, I now have three. I had the Steem (yes they accept Steem!) kicking about on a limit sell on Bittrex, so it was an easy buy!
Alpha booster opening tonight...
These contract offers are set to close, forever, two weeks after Alpha booster opening which is tonight!
If you can't stretch to a contract, why not just pick up one of the three origins packs and a few boosters, opening of the later is tonight. Booster packs are currently only $2!
