I bought another 170 Hive yesterday to Power Up to almost 40K HP - I couldn't see the point in taking myself through the base-10 barrier today, I'll be there soon enough anyway!

I'm still messing around with the format of these monthly 'Hive progress' posts - I'll probably change the format below again next month. I kind of want to broaden theses posts out from just stats to what I've been enjoying around Hive.

Below I review the month under the following headings...

  • Hive
  • Leo
  • Splinterlands
  • eXode
  • CryptoBrewmaster
  • Other areas!

I've use mainly Leo Statsto get this info, I recommend it if you haven't checked it out yet! Also, thanks to @abh12345 for his annual report, link below if you want one too!

Hive

I'm now at 40K Hive Power, or at least very nearly. 3500 HP up from the beginning of the month.

According to LEO Stats I made the following:

  • 378 HP in curation rewards (only a 12% return)
  • 546 HP equivalent in author rewards
  • The rest bought in.

I also transferred about 2000 Hive to Hive-Engine - which is a little alarming - I've bought mainly LEO and DEC with that, and more recently some CBM tokens -and a couple of eco-coin too

Engagement stats

I've made 38 top level posts in the last month, mainly because I've had a lot to say, mainly because I've been in lock down, mainly because of a huge conspiracy against the world population by a Pharma-elite.

I also made 462 comments, which means I'm still towards the top of @abh12345s engagement leagues which is nice to see, the communities help that!

LEO

I now have 12100 staked LEO

I'm up >2500LEO in just 30 days!

This accumulation has consisted of:

  • 660 LEO in author rewards
  • 230 LEO in curation rewards (a 24.5% return)
  • 200 LEO from delegation
  • The rest bought in.

So 40-60 earned-bought - not quite as good as my Hive history but I'm LEO accumulation mode ATM!

Splinterlands

My Deck is currently valued at $2100, down from the early June highs of $2600 - thanks to the sell off by a couple of large investors.

I find it broadly encouraging that the price hasn't dipped too outrageously - apparently one of these sellers invested half a million dollars - so we're not seeing too bad a correction given that!

I still think the game's got plenty of room for growth - and maybe once this bot-operator goes and hopefully finds something more useful to do with his time and skills - more real people will buy into the game and we'll be back to a sustained price increase.

eXode

I've invested $827 in @exodegame - because I just really like the 'qualitative mechanics' behind it - the complex way the cards interact with each other and the randomness of evacuation and planet discovery should make for unique and personalised gaming experiences with lots of diverse pathways - it just seems so much more sophisticated than splinterlands.

@elindos also seems committed to keeping the game playable for a minimal start-up investment of just $10 or so, and there should be no way someone can dominate the game just by investing thousands of dollars - you can still make money trading cards, but it sounds like you're unlikely to be able to dominate the rewards pool with a massive investment.

I've spent about half of that money on contracts which give me lifetime card drops, and I've been busy in the market place since Alpha opening - I am seeing a return already:

There's a really nice vibe about the game too, fully-human!

Cryptobrewmaster

I had to invest 55 Euro in @cryptobrewmaster's Alpha Brew, and I'm enjoying watching the new game gradually being developed with new features coming online.

Final thoughts

I think June was a pretty good month for me on Hive - I'm especially pleased with my posting record, modest buying in of Hive, as planned, and investment into the Tribes/ games - for eXode and CBM this was a 'do in June, or don't do at all thing', with Splinterlands I wish I had waited, but you can't win them all!

It's an interesting one having invested almost $1000 in a game that isn't even playable yet - part of me thinks I'm crazy, part of me doesn't care because that's just free Steem. Oh, and you probably know by now that I like at least one risky investment on the go.
