LEO And The Future

By now you most likely know about what has happened with wLEO. Someone somehow got the ability that allowed them to print some wLEO and sell it off, netting them a cool 300+ ETH in the process. $120k. $120k of other people's hard earned money.

What exactly happened we don't know yet, and I'm sure we'll find out as they get discovered. The biggest question is whodunit? Will we get the answer to that? I sure hope so. Blame gets pointed everywhere but without any proof, it's hard to truly know who did it. And without any proof, its not worth wrongly ruining a person's reputation by publicly accusing them. What we can do is move on and try and make sure this doesn't happen again and learn from our mistakes.

The Future

Let's talk about the future. I personally never used wLEO. I do know of quite a few people who have, including @edicted and @cadawg both of who had a nice amount in there. I'm not a fan of keeping my funds anywhere I can't control directly. And while the ROI was nice, the ETH fees just didn't do it for me. I can't even combine my GU cards so I can sell some of them and so ETH just never didn't seem like the best thing to me. Other than the token which was going up in price. I do use LEO though. I'm quite a big fan. Money interests me(who doesn't it interest) and today we saw that LEO on hive-engine didn't sink to 0 because of this news, and it's already climbing back up to where it was. LEO will supersede where it was previously. And I'm going to be even more active than I was. Purchasing more LEO and using it will be what I do. Posting more, maybe. I'm not a big writer.

The future of wLEO is less certain. Will I use it if it comes back? Honestly, if the gas fees go down, I'd be willing to get involved. But I don't have large amounts to invest so fees will eat them up. Not worth it as it is now, but maybe in the future it might be worth it.

Only time will tell how this all plays out, but I'm quite hopeful for the future of LEO.
