I celebrated the launching of Leo DEX Version 5. Do you know how? LEO Staking
We all know that the Leofinance team has been pretty vocal about their 2020 road map. One of the promises made to the users they fulfilled a couple of days ago was the new version of the LeoDEX. They listened to users and made some practical changes.
The biggest of them all is to let go of the LION logo on the background. Yours truly’s tweet (:D) was featured in the announcement blog post which made me feel like I was the one who is responsible for the new Leo-Less-DEX version 5 :) I am all in to save tigers and lions - for the record.
The new LeoDEX version 5 came out and I checked the platform out of curiosity. While I was browsing the website I realized I have too many tribal/community tokens sitting in my wallet. I don’t know how I received them to be honest. I still don’t understand the reason I am receiving those tokens although I have never interacted with those communities. I actively interact with Leofinance community and that’s it.
So, the total amount of USD my wallet had at that moment was around 8$ distributed in different tokens. The USD amount I had in the wallet would roughly translate to around 100 LEOs. At that point, I thought, why not celebrate the new version of the LeoDEX , convert all (almost) my tribal tokens to LEO and power up. After all @trumpman made an announcement recently that he will support users (including me) to their Leo -Dolphin journey. The selling of tokens and powering up could be my initial push to that Leo Dolphin journey.
First step, I sold almost half of the tokens in my wallet that were worth more than zero USD using the new feature that was introduced in the version 5 - Market selling. I love limit selling but I was less stringent in price with these Hive Engine Tokens.
The primary purpose was to buy as much Leo as I could and stake.
I collected Hive and converted to Leo which came out to be 11.193. After I staked the total LEO collected using LeoDEX, the total LEO I owned was more than 100 LEOs which in itself is an achievement (at least I think so).
I am not entirely sure but I want to believe (for my own pleasure) that all transactions I made through LeoDEX, I was able to help the adoption of the platform. While doing so, I also tested the new features. While testing, I came across a couple of issues that I think is beneficial to highlight in this post .
LeoChat
I jumped with excitement when I saw this new feature and instantly clicked. I thought this was a new community chat which was not the case. It took me to the discord server. I hope we can have a community chat feature for Leofinance.
Claiming Rewards
I am not sure if this is specific to LeoDEX or a common feature on Hive platform but I could not claim pending rewards. Even if the transaction was completed, the collected rewards were not transferred to my wallet.
So, that's how I celebrated the launch of the LeoDEX version 5. I am now a bit wealthier in LEO than before and hope Leo tokens will increase in value so that I don't have to work for the rest of my career.
