Hey there,

Today, we are going to have a comparison between Atomic Wallet and Exodus. You might have heard already about both. But, we'll go into details in this topic.

Note: This topic is going to be a pointing system and the wallet which gets the most points will win.

0.1 Why Are We Comparing Atomic Wallet and Exodus?

I have chosen those wallets because, they are very famous in the community. They are both user-friendly and beginners tend to go there for their ease of use. I am not comparing MEW here because, it is considered an advanced wallet and it is not multi-cryptocurrency.

0.2 Private Keys.

Private keys are the ones that gives you access to your wallet when you accidentally delete or something. So, you have to keep a backup of those somewhere. There are wallets that do not give users access to his own private keys. But, in our comparison, both wallets gives you access to your private keys.

Atomic: 1 point.
Exodus: 1 point.

0.3 Built-in Exchange.

Of course, giving you the feature of holding different coins. It would be nice for both wallets to have an exchange within the wallet. Which will save you the time and hassle of going elsewhere to exchange your tokens. Both wallets have built-in exchanges.

Atomic: 1 point.
Exodus: 1 point.

0.4 Buy Crypto.

An additional benefit that some wallets is the feature to buy cryptocurrency directly from the wallet. Of course, wallets tend to use third party services sometimes. But, at least they give you an extra feature and you are free to use it. Exodus does not have one yet. Hopefully it gets added in future.

Atomic: 1 point.
Exodus: 0 point.

0.5 Application Availability

This basically depends on the decision of the makers of the wallet. Some wallets are available on desktop and mobile. Other wallets are only available on one system. Both wallets are available on desktop and mobile.

Atomic: 2 points.
Exodus: 2 points.

0.6 Supported Coins.

There are over 300 cryptocurrencies currently supported on both wallets.

Atomic: 1 point.
Exodus: 1 point.

0.7 Staking

Staking or POS (Proof of Stake) was created as alternative to POW (Proof of Work). Simply, instead of just HODLing a currency. You just need to lock your cryptocurrencies and leave them there. They will start validating blocks and generating income in that currency. Exodus lacks this feature currently. But, I hope it gets added in future.

Atomic: 1 point.
Exodus: 0 points.

0.8 Conclusion

To conclude with, Atomic wallet has got the upper hand in this comparison. It accumulated 7/7 points in total. Exodus is a good choice as well, it had got a score of 5/7 in this comparision.
