Take it as a challenge, to explain the basics of crypto to your friends and family. That is, to those who are a little capable of understanding what it is all about.

Well, I found it was pretty hard to explain the idea of crypto and why I found it interesting enough to invest my time and money into it and still doing it.

The thing is, my friends and family members are people who believe in fiat money and the schemes related to banks like the fixed deposits, mutual funds are such and are quite devoted to it, literally speaking.

When I first spoke about Bitcoin, they were like - "That is illegal. Do not even talk about it."

What then would I have said about other altcoins.

Some people do not appreciate things if they do not understand it and thats that.

Should we let it rest?

Never.

In my honest opinion, we should keep on trying to tell others about cryptocurrency, the science behind it, and the need for it and how it is going to shape the future.

Twenty years before, we could not have imagined the present-day technological advancements in the mobile phone industry. We could not have thought about how easy it is to call a person in another country at zero cost.

Those who rubbished such tech advancements use the same, today, to call friends and family.

Popularising hive

Hive is a free to use blogging platform with many features and great communities like @neoxiancity @leofinance @indiaunited @bdcommunity @brofund @gems @ocd and so many more.

If you think you have an artistic side that you have yet to explore and also reveal to the world outside, you need not pay anyone to host a website or sign up for a forum with numerous rules and all. Just sign up free for hive.blog and start posting and also get to know hundreds of like-minded people from around the globe.

Cryptocurrency is not just getting rich quick scheme. It is about investing in projects that help realize people's dreams. It is about believing in helping and reaching out your hand to support and protect.

A lot of such projects are even now taking place with the help of Hive and Hive backed dollars and one such fine example is the @bdcommunity's Donate a dollar -!!WE ARE ACCEPTING DONATIONS FOR THE SEVENTH ROUND!! -WEEK 2 The funds are collected and provisions are distributed among the needy and what is commendable is that they are given out in bags printed with the Hive logo so that awareness is created and the word is spread.

Coming back to the title

A relative of mine smirked at my dedication towards writing every day on Hive and er playing splinterlands and asked me whether I made 10k per month.

I tried to explain to her that it was not the money part that makes me stay on and spend my time. It is also about the belief in crypto, the friends I made here, and the trust I have that cryptocurrency will be able to do better good than any other ever has.

If you feel that I have asked a valid question, please kindly take a minute to answer whether you have tried to educate friends and family on crypto.
