For years we waited around for marketing to take place. Now the onus falls upon each individual to get the word out.

We now have a project that was put together by @theycallmedan, @blocktrades, @ocdb, and @threespeak. The idea is to engage and interact.

There are a couple of goals here. The first is to stimulate interaction. As we know, what takes place on blockchain is rather minimal. Even on Hive, the interaction on the average post is minimal. Just look at the daily stats put together by @penguinpablo.

The Challenge: Be POSH, Engage and help Hive Thrive

There was a challenge put together. This will go on indefinitely in an effort to keep ongoing interaction throughout the ecosystem.

Any organic posts that meet the #posh challenge requirement will be eligible for upvotes from the 4 accounts mentioned above. These are some large stakeholders, thus it is worthy to get their attention. Each committed to dedicated a portion of their daily voting power for this purpose.

Each individual can approach this in two ways. The first is to post while the second is to engage. Each uses both Hive and Twitter as the basis for the challenge.

According to a post put up by @anomadsoul, here is what is required:

For Posting:

The topic is open. You can post about whatever you want, it just needs to be high quality, just limit it to one post per day that you will be sharing on Twitter. On your Hive post, use the tag #posh and post to a specific community - it doesn't matter which one, as long as it exists and it's got an audience. If you don't know of a community or can't decide where to post, then posting to the OCD community (174578) is for you. Share your Hive post on Twitter. Use the most characters on Twitter, make it appealing to the outside users - perhaps describe your post, clickbait, encourage others to read it, you pick - and use the hashtags #hive and #posh. At the bottom of your post, invite readers to comment on the post, as engagement MAY get rewarded due to the (challenge link) initiative. At the same time, leave a link to yout Twitter Post to show #proofofshare - #posh.

  • If you are a video creator, follow the same guidelines but post through @threespeak.
For Those Who Want To Engage
  • Browse Hive and/or Twitter for #hive and #posh posts. Interact with the author on Twitter - perhaps a retweet, a favorite, a comment... or even better, a retweet with comment, so your own followers see the post and head to Hive. Head to the Hive post and leave a meaningful, thought of, engaging comment.

Consider this "Proof of Content Consumption". The key here is to stimulate engagement both on Hive and relay that out across Twitter. We tend to have more readers than content creators and here is a way to reward them.

This is not a system to just get some easy upvotes. Not all posts will be rewarded. Each day, a certain amount will be chosen. This is an initiative to spread the reach of Hive and show the general public what we have going on.

The idea is that we all are rewarded by the growth of the platform. If the Twitter campaign can garner attention from the outside, perhaps we see growth in the number of people joining. At the bare minimum, we know that using Twitter is a viable way to make some noise. Attention is what is sought and the community proved it can get that.

Another benefit to this is that it can help out the applications such as Peakd, Leofinance, Hive.blog, and Threespeak. When individuals are consistently retweeting these links, people start to see those sites. This could inspire them to look at a few more articles or videos while they are there.

Let us all increase out activity in an effort to inspire content creators of all kinds. In doing so, let us make the 80 cent price on HIVE look inexpensive.

We all want the same thing. Now it is time to band together and do it.

Consider giving this initiative a try.
