On discord some were talking about what levels of LEO are required to equate to those set out for Hive. This is an interesting topic and one that is completely subjective.

Thus, I decided to take a shot and figure out basic parameters which could work.

I started by determining what the total number of HIVE that existed and compared to that of LEO.

This was garnered from https://hiveblocks.com/.

I used the 363 million because this is the HIVE actually issued. The HBD conversion is debt that can go up or down.

Next we pull up the total LEO from Leofinance.io.

This starts the process of calculating the ratio between HIVE and LEO. Here we divide the total amount of LEO by HIVE.

When we do this we come up with a ratio of .01217. We will save this for a bit later in our calculations.

Next we have to determine what the levels are on Hive to determine them in LEO. Some might not be aware but the different categories (Whale, Orca, etc..) is not truly determined by HP but, rather, MVest. It is a multitude of 10 for each level.

The categories are as follows:

Minnow 1 MV; Dolphin 10 MV; Orca 100 MV; Whale 1,000 MV

To figure this out in HIVE, we need to look at the HIVE to MV ratio. We find this at https://hive-db.com/.

With this, we can see the different categories break down as such:

Minnow 516.075 HP Dolphin 5,160.75 HP Orca 51,607.50 HP Whale 516,075 HP

Now we simply multiply the Hive to LEO ratio (.01217) by each level of HP to get the conversion.

Here is how it all unfolds:

Minnow 6.28 LEO Dolphin 62.806 LEO Orca 628.063 LEO Whale 6,280.632 LEO

This means that holding 62.80 LEO is the same, percentage-wise, as holding 5,160 HP. The reason this is so is because there are more than 82 times the amount of HIVE as LEO.

As stated before, this is a subject way of looking at things and a logical way to approach it.

What are your thoughts on these levels as well as the comparison to Hive?
