Off the top of my head:

1. Different tokens
2. Different returns when based in fiat
3. Early entry with LBI; SPI already on open market
4. Helping to tie up more LEO

Personally I have a lot of SPI so adding LBI only makes sense. For those without either, both are a good opportunity.

For example, part of SPI's value comes from the fact it is holding a full Bitcoin. If one believe BTC will fly, that only going to enhance the value of SPI going forward.

It is basically the difference between investing in a mid cap or large cap ETF. Both are similar just cater to slightly different audiences.
