Slowly but surely, Leofinance is growing. Each week, the stats put out by @leo-stats show continued improvement. Certainly, we aren't seeing the numbers "mooning" or anything, but steady growth is being seen.

This should change when we see the new U/I released. Before getting to that, we can see that the present version is getting more action.

As we can see, since the hard fork back in March, things progressed nicely. The first full month, April, was the low with continued increase in activity in the ensuing months. Leo is making some noise on Hive because of its enthusiastic user base coupled with the consistent development.

So what will the new interface do for Leo and its stakeholders?

Before delving into that, we must state that the new interface is going to be build from the ground up. Unlike the present version we are using, which is based upon Steemit.com, this is a clean design. We presently are dealing with condensor which makes programming new features very difficult. This will not be an issue with the new front end.

This is where it gets exciting. We will ultimately see built whatever is desired. Having a new front end means total flexibility in programming. Without restrictions, we are now dealing with a website and all that entails. Of course, all posts will be fed to Hive and utilize all the features of the blockchain. That said, there is more than can be done with the interface that does not necessarily require blockchain.

For example, we have the streaming price feeds on the site. Could it be possible that we are able to get more detailed information about cryptocurrency or stocks ala Coingecko or Yahoo Finance? I am not sure of the issues associated with an application such as this but it is possible with the new U/I.

Another option could be some type of subscription service that is tied into the website. This could be paid for in LEO or some other token could be designed with it. We know that LeoFi is going to released at some point. Is this going to be all tied into the front end or be on its own website? This is do not know but, here again, it could be possible on a custom interface.

It goes without saying (but I am going to say it anyway) that Leofinance is concentrated in its topic focus. It is not a general site. This means that a clean sheet design could enable the site to cater to the needs of the potential users. This includes readers who are sorely lacking on the Hive ecosystem. The financial community is accustomed to certain attributes in their websites, something that Leofinance will be able to provide.

Naturally, the biggest advantage to Leofinance is the tokenization that already exists and the potential to add more. There is the ability to innovate new programs within the LEO ecosystem to make it more valuable for everyone involved. Couple this with Leodex, the possibilities grow rather quickly.

We are seeing growth this year. However, it is important to note that we are seeing a lot of the foundation for the future being laid. This is not something that should be overlooked. We all want things to happen very quickly yet, sometimes, it takes a while for the coffee to percolate.

I sense that the next couple version of the Leofinance interface will have a huge impact on growth going forward.
