This is a great article to read if you are in the camp that inflation is going to be a big thing in the very near future. We here in the U.S. have been exporting dollars to China and other countries for so long now it has seemed normal. It is clear that China is slowly unloading their treasury bonds to buy tangible assets and stockpile things they will need in the future.

Other countries will probably follow suit and do the same thing because of the fear of getting stuck holding the inflated dollar bag. All of this trade war bullshit is looking like financial war to me, I do fear that China could just start dumping their dollars all at once if this escilates rapidly.

I feel the best hedge against all of this is precious metals, I don't think they will ever make it illegal to own them again.
They may try but this would be my red line in the sand. Most likely they will try to put a windfall tax on it and it will go underground for a while.
