Like you have rightly said, engagement is what makes a website social. In addition, engagements further helps in boosting a site's rank.

Personally, I was lacking in this aspect but I'm changing my ways. Hive becomes enjoyable when you make commenting on other's post a habit. Not just commenting, replying to comments as well.
