Before I get to the preliminary results, a quick shout out to say that again (in keeping with my plan and as I've been doing for the past few-ish months) to set different beneficiaries for 3 of my 4 monthly Power Up Day posts) I've set the beneficiary for this post 100% to @steevc's project, @tenkminnows. Specifically because of this bit in his Hive Power Up Day post for September -

Talk about dovetailing nicely with #hivepud!

Happy November, everybody! And what a busy month this is! Not only do we have Hive Power Up Day to kick things off, but to make it even better, Hive Buzz is doing another Hive Power Up Month. Then there's #hiveblopomo (Hive Blog Posting Month (hosted by me) and #napodpomo (National Podcast Post Month (hosted by @epodcaster) - so much blockchain fun to be had!

With so much going on, I can't say for certain, but my feeling is that we're going to have another great month of people (new and old) joining in to power up, even if the amount they stake isn't a record breaking amount.

As I say every month, a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in Power Up Day by powering up, posting, and/or shouting out on all traditional web 2.0 social media. All of those things help shine a light on our blockchain home, which in turn helps to grow our community. Special thanks to @hivebuzz for always BEEing such an incredible buzz-maker for Hive Power Up Day. And here's to all the happy Hiveans who are increasing their voting power and influence on the blockchain!

   

I'm happy to say it looks like my guess was right - we had a nice jump in people participating this month (with a number of new faces), and even though the total powered up was a little bit less than last month, I'm glad to see more of the smaller and newer accounts powering up small (to us, big to them) amounts which will definitely lead to bigger and better things for them in the long run!

To break it all down, we had 73 qualifying entries for the prize pool (compared to 55 in October) with 116 total entries (compared to 101 last month) and 131 posts with either the #hivepud or #hpud tags on the first (116 last month).

As for the overall number, the power ups ranged from 0.036 to 2090 Hive Power, for a grand total of...  

13,036.510 Hive Powered Up!

 

By comparison, the total in October was 14,181.663. So overall I'd say we're holding relatively steady with the amount powered up, but we're rocking it with more new people joining in, which is...

Here is the UNOFFICIAL winners list for November 1st. If you spot any errors, or your powerup/post was somehow overlooked, please shout out as soon as possible.

On November 5th, I'll post the OFFICIAL written-in-stone list, and at that time the sponsors can award their prizes (the complete list is in the announcement post).
