The past few days we have seen a few sexy silver eagles from Germany, and today is the time to see the last of the flock. This one is imo the most bad ass:

Yeah, this side is just that. A bad ass, angry eagle. No engravings, no dates no nothing. Fuck that. And that's perfectly fine :)

This eagles looks pretty much the same as the Bundesadler, the eagle in Germany's coat of arms. Fun fact, the Bundesadler is the the oldest national symbol used in Europe.

The coat of arms of Germany displays a black eagle with a red beak, a red tongue and red feet on a golden field, which is blazoned: Or, an eagle displayed sable beaked langued and membered gules. This is the Bundesadler (German for "Federal Eagle"), formerly known as Reichsadler (German for "Imperial Eagle"). source)

Ok, moving on the other side:

Things here are pretty boring. No symbols or whatever, just the words " BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND DEUTSCHE MARK 5 1970 ", for "Federal Republic of Germany Deutsche Mark 5 1970"

The edge is engraved

It reads "EINIGKEIT UND RECHT UND FREIHEIT" for "Unity and Justice and Freedom". These are the first words of the third verse of the Deutschlandlied, Germany's national anthem.

The usual size comparison with a euro coin:

Silverwise, we have 11.2 g of 0.625 purity. That's exactly 7 grams of Ag.

All in all, a really bad ass coin if you ask me! I would love to make daily transactions with this sexy piece. It just looks and feels so good! Oh well.. That's history now..Who knows, with the way economies go silver may make a come back 🦅
