As oil markets begin to suck? many countries would be diversifying their investments and crypto currency would be one of such alternatives that could help some countries come out of their debt profiles. I've been so worried about Nigeria in the last 48 hours especially when I know that the major source of income for the nation is Crude oil. Although there are other natural resources that can be profitably harnessed, oil money has deprived the economic team of the motivation to harness the huge potentials we have in agriculture, coal, iron, gold, and precious stones.

I've been frequently checking on the market value of the Naira for the fear of being devalued against US dollar following the oil market dip. Today, I decided to see how much emerging cryptos are worth in my local currency. Steem and hive actually are worth more than NGN 45 and NGN 35 respectively which are about 1/3 and 1/4 the price of 1litre of refined Gasoline. If these two cryptos grow as wished, then content creation could be worth more than owning barrels of oil.

I furthered to see how much a finance based crypto like LEO could be worth and I was shocked to see that LEO is worth more than 6.5 Naira at the interim. What this means to me is that it could be more valuable holding my finances in form of LEO than fiat especially now that LEO would have more growing tendencies having moved to hive blockchain.

I'm looking forward to creating more time for contenting on LEO than my off chain work at the moment especially with this lockdown that makes people prioritize their spending on food.

I hope that in the near future, we would be able to access more tangible products with Leo when marketplaces are integrated. Earning LEO can really help many families make a living as about 30LEO can afford a plate of food for low income earners.

Let's be hopeful for better days ahead.
