Oh, how I miss "The SteemLeo LeoFinance Weekly Writing Contest"

Reading this writing contest prompt by @Steem.leo about 10 mmonths ago marked when my interest for LEO tokens and #steemleo #leofinance ensued. Reason was simple; it was writing and that suits my educational bias. Forgive me if I would sound more biased if I say that the education sector holds the key to the explosion of the blockchain technology and cryptocurrency.

I have said this countless times, but it seems no one wants to take me serious. Imagine "Blockchain Technology" and "Cryptocurrency" becoming a topical research theme for universities and colleges all over the world, and imagine, every finance biased discipline in the universities adopting "LeoFinance Community" as a case study and LEO as a case token. Indeed, we'll be surprised at how fast it would be t grow the LeoFinance community as well as the token as stipulated in this post.

@Education-hive berates that there are 60 million teachers and students in the world and they are daily calling them to join the Education-hive community. Truth e told, the education sector has a massive strength that can break the onboarding capacity of a blockchain like hive if everyone in that subset were to join me. Please permit my exaggeration.

All I am trying to point to is the fact that gaining prominence in the education sector would be be a big booster for blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. Ways of getting this are as follows:

  • Sponsoring academic activities;
  • Hosting writing contests for students with "yummy" rewards;
  • Sponsoring unique research activities;
  • Giving research grants;
  • and lots more. I have scripted a whitepaper on how this can be mapped out to the profit of the community.

I personally do not want to hold cryptocurrency as just a "digital asset". I wish to see crypto being put to use in our daily lives and this is where mass adoption would begin. I want to see crypto application in education, agriculture and other sectors of the economy.

Though I never made an entry in the LeoFinance weekly writing contests then, I maximized the contests to learn from the experiences of the entries that were made. I won't stand aloof this time if this be rekindled.

I wish we could start writing again and also have LeoFinance community sponsor writing contests for students who are currently art home during nothing. That could be a way to bring them here.

It can only get better.
