One-on-One Mentoring for New Hivers: Educating them about Hive Blockchain, Communities and Hive Tokens

Today was quite a busy day for me in my office, not because I was attending to many jobs, but because I was mentoring new Hivers to give then a smooth start-off for their content creation and investment journey on Hive.

Last week, I engaged a Digital Skills enthusiast who is leading over 200 young people in Nigeria to acquire digital skills. I told him about HIVE blockchain and how he can leverage the community feature of the chain to maximize his training community and then take it to higher levels. It didn't take much of my time to win his trust for Hive when I mentioned the future of Smart Media Tokens and how Hive Engine tokens are serving a test case at present.

He obliged to own an account with a promise to onboard his community to Hive as soon as he understands the system. Lo, we have @Gabby20. Over the weekend, I got a call from a pretty lady talking about Hive, I gave her an appointment for today and now she's on hive as @Cherrypee. Here's her introduction My day was given to guide the duo in creating their introduction posts and also put them through the basics of the blockchain.

Both of them have investment in mind and with that, I had to seize the moment to talk about Hive communities, tribes and tokens. Also in attendance to the class were @Nsioscar, @Obrisgold1 and @Evegrace to tap more knowledge. My Hub in Uyo, Nigeria has always been a place to train young people to acquire skills. Much more would be achieved foe Hive when the branding operations ongoing is completed.

many people are getting to the awareness of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology and it is our duty to give in some tangible time to the training of such to appreciate and see the advantage we have over counterpart centralized social-media users.

Covered in today's lessons were:

  • How to create Hive accounts (Ecency DApp and Hiveonboard were the methods I exampled).
  • How to change Hive Keys and Key management.
  • The usefulness and distinctions between HIVE, Hive Power and powering up. In fact, both new users were advised to power up their introduction posts while allowing beneficiary rewards for @Tipu and @Hiveblocks.
  • How to create a post on Hive.
  • A brief on Hive Communities and Tribes.
  • Hive Tokens and the investment opportunities available.

I took my time to show my Hive token curation portfolio: LEO, SPORTS, CTP, LIST, CHARY and the usecases of the tokens. I also made mention of NEOXAG, LOTUS, PAL and other Hive tokens and the uniqueness of each community and what they represent on Hive.

I have also helped the new users with 20 HP delegation each to aid their smooth engagement in the next two weeks and I hope by then, they should be able to reach the 30 HP mark as I advise a 100% powerup of all posts from now till the next 7 days.

I am hopeful that they will be able to attach to the communities that support their interests while their orientation lasts. It is our collective responsibilities to grow HIVE and Hive Communities by helping to market and onboard new users to the chain. I will appreciate that high spirited Hivers would add more Hive Power delegation to the new users.
