I'm noticing a trend on Twitter as oh lately. There are more and more high profile investors and firms publicly tweeting about Bitcoin and how much they have bought lately. Not only are there tweets of their big purchases but also tweets about why they bought bitcoin and how it is the future. I'm sure big firms buying bitcoin is nothing new as people have been stacking coins behind the scene for months if not years. But there was always this hesitancy to admit that you owned bitcoin, like it was a guilty secret you didn't want anyone to find out. This was especially true over the last 2 years in the bear market would people were losing their shirts from the drops. But now things feel much different and I would even venture to guess that some people are actually using bitcoin tweets to increase followers.

You're Not Cool Unless You Own Bitcoin

I'm seeing tweets from people about bitcoin that are getting a lot of comments and likes. Twitter has become a crypto community as of late, even the owner of the site has bitcoin in his profile description. This means that when people declare they bought or support bitcoin there tends to be a lot of love that comes with it. It is far from one-sided as a lot of bitcoin bears still poke there heads in the comments but even those comments are adding to the overall attention of the person posting.

Tweets From Firms And Restaruants

It is not only big investments firms which are tweeting but I saw a tweet from a restaurant that told people they took their cash reserves and but it into bitcoin. This in turn brought a lot of attention to their account which I'm sure has help their sales. This might be the new wave of trend.

I might be a little biased as I'm in crypto myself but there is no denying the attitude around it has changed over the last couple of months. Trust me people were not bragging they bought Bitcoin in 2018 or 2019 but now it seems to be a way to really get followers on the socials. Well at least this is true for twitter I cannot say for the other sites but the people I'm seeing Tweet about buying bitcoin are not the same ones I was seeing the year before. The old guard is still here but the new wave is coming.

It is still early in the game but people talking about how they bought bitcoin and bragging about their investment bodes well for the coin in the months to come.
