Vulcan Forged Reimburses the Users After The $140 Million Hack

Vulcan Forged, a play to earn blockchain gaming environment, yesterday announced that it has refunded $140 million worth of PYR tokens to the affectees of the recent hack. Vulcan forged is a blockchain gaming environment built upon Polygon, hosting 6 different games.
Vulcan Forged tweeted the news of reimbursement of stolen funds and said they are in process of identifying the hackers footprints. Moreover, a decentralized wallet solution was also hinted.
Few days back, Vulcan Forged, got hacked a few days ago with hackers managing to steal 4.5 million PYR tokens worth roughly $140 million from user wallets. The hack reportedly happened due to the exploitation of a previous unknown vulnerability in the Vulcan Forged system. The hackers apparantly took hold of the private keys of some of the biggest wallets of the gaming ecosystem. All in all, a total of 98 whale wallets were exploited.
After the hack, the price of PYR token plummeted by 34% to $21.09. At the moment of writing PYR token is trading at $22.14.
All the refunds were made from the Vulcan Forged’s treasury. Moreover, the refunds were made in PYR and LAVA tokens.
