First of all I'll like to state this, engagement on the hive blockchain is an art irrespective of the simplicity that sorounds it. The reason why I'm writing this is because a person needs to first answer the question "why I'm I engaging?" Because without understanding why you are engaging then you haven't really established a purpose. However first and foremost your basic purpose of engagement is for the pleasure that cones with it and that's why it necessary for a newcomer to engage with contents that are relatable in the first periods or stincts of their hive journey, else they'll be lost in the endless stream of content and make no acquaintances for themselves.
Truth is, content, engagement, value and contribution as well as investment are all intertwined but then one step at at time ensures steady but slow progress. One reason why people engage hastily, drop any kind of comments is because they want to just drop a comment, be done with it and move on to the next post without having to understand that engagement is not a race, it's a process that comes with stages of understanding, building something that's close to a real life friendship and something more connected, that's what true engagement is, because engagement expands beyond commenting.

It's about showcasing your relevance, showing a person you consume their content that you're an in-depth lover of what they create and you yourself should mean this to the core. Because originality thrives because when you take time to showcase your originality you'll see that engagement becomes more of a norm rather than a commitment or obligation. I'm particularly writing this because someone not everyone knows that engagement is an art. It requires specialty, it requires resilience and it requires style and guile and that's what makes an individual uniquely relevant in the endless streams of engagement attempts.
So Core Engagement Anyone?
I didn't title the subheading "so how can you engage better" this is simply because I don't know it all and I'm only trying to peak my experience with what's worked for me in a long time. Let's not be sentimental, engagement Will not give you everything you want on hive but it'll simply advertise you as a creator and as a consumer who's actively opted into the chain tooth to tooth. The first thing you need to do is to understand the content of the person and the personality of the person. Most people feel long comments on a post are the best kind of engagement but this isn't true some creators wants you to be precise with your comments others wants you to be elaborate and the continuous process of understanding a creator and their content is what engagement is
In earnest, you need to understand the motive between a content, apart from you just engaging to get noticed, your core reason is to engage to make sense, engage to create a sentimental attachment with the creator and engage to establish an important in the mind of the owner of the content which you're consuming. Hey? It's easier than it looks and the reason why it seems difficult is because people put making more before creating or engaging and they fail really terribly. Investment is another shortcut that can get you there. Let's face the face when you're invested, that is opted in from fiat into crypto. This stats your intent and you may not even struggle

Irrespective of anything, don't be reliant on only engagement and that's why you need to be vested into communities. @uyobong is a man I respect so much, I mostly engage with him because he's an In investor to the core in @leo (and investors means the chain will grow) @leofinance and sports token. In other not go deviate, don't engage with everything you see because you can get drowned, engage with what attracts you first and foremost and engage with people who value the essence of engagement. (although you can make preferences and exceptions) @galenkp and @abh12345 are people etched into the importance of engagement and with the EL league you can never go wrong.
Truth is, you need to be precise, contribute immensely and aspire to grow. The people you're engaging with needs to see your contribution, your efficacy and how well you meander your way on the chain. Furthermore your content must reflect something worthwhile to engage back with else the people you've impressed with your engaging skills might not see a means to actively support you. Another thing is, don't be hasty or greedy, don't employ means to make quick money it can kill your reputation forever. Like I said, Engagement is an art
