I am not an evangelist, neither a biased amateur and not even a big fan of conspiracy theories. I am just a research scientist who always likes to be well informed after a fair, thorough, and well-conducted investigation.

And I think that for this and to reach fairly well-documented conclusions. It is always necessary to consult the sources that come from all sides and especially the opposite and more controversial versions of the official story if it is to arrive relatively closely at some kind of 'truth'.

I've said many times before that I don't believe in absolutes. Therefore many think that the truth is an absolute. And I must clearly highlight and emphasize that truths are always relative.

Yup, until suddenly a bigger and more irrefutable truth emerges.

So, let's see...

  • Lebanon has 18 religious communities.

  • 3 languages are spoken in Lebanon: Arabic, French and English.

  • 40 different newspapers circulate in the country daily.

  • The literacy level of its population is 99%.

  • Lebanon has 42 universities.

  • There are more than 100 different banks in the country.

  • 70% of the students are in private schools.

  • 40% of the Lebanese population is Christian (it is the highest percentage in the Arab world)

  • There is one doctor for every 10 people. (In Europe and America there is one doctor for every 100 people)

  • The name of Lebanon appears 75 times in the Old Testament.

  • The name Cedar also appears 75 times in the Old Testament.

  • Beirut has been destroyed and rebuilt 7 times. (this is why it is compared to the Phoenix)

  • There are 4.5 million Lebanese in Lebanon.

  • There are approximately 60 million Lebanese outside of Lebanon, only in Brazil there are 14 million.

  • In Beirut alone there are more than 350 nightclubs.

  • The country has been occupied by more than 16 countries. (Egypt -Hittites - Assyrians - Babylonians - Persians -Alexander's army - The Roman Byzantine Empire - The Arabian Peninsula - The Crusaders - The Ottomans - France - Israel and Syria)

  • "Byblos" is the oldest city in the world since ancient Phenicia, which still exists.

  • The name of Lebanon has persisted for 4,000 years without change. (it is the oldest name of a country in the world that still exists)

  • Lebanon has no deserts.

  • There are 15 rivers in Lebanon and they all come from its own mountains.

  • Its archaeological sites are among the most popular in the world.

  • The first alphabet was created in Byblos. (it is in the museum of Lebanon and is written on the tomb of Ahiram king of Byblos)

  • The only temple of Jupiter (the most important Roman God) is in Balbeck. North of Lebanon.

  • Lebanon is the only country in the Arab-speaking world that does not have a dictator. They have a Democratic Government.

  • The name Bible comes from the city of Byblos.

  • Lebanon is where the largest number of books related to the Bible have been written.

  • Jesus Christ performed his first miracle in Lebanon, in the city of Qana, (He turned water into wine)

  • The Phoenicians in Lebanon were the first to build a ship and the first to sail in history.

  • The Phoenicians also arrived to America long before Columbus. (A Phoenician ship was found in Brazil)

  • The first law school in the world was built in downtown Beirut, founded by Ulpiano.

  • It is said that the Cedars of Lebanon were planted by the hands of God. And that's why they are called the cedars of God and Lebanon the city of God on earth.

Yeah! you can check and consult a lot more of Lebanon Demographics in more detail just by clicking here. At least the most common and popular.

Well, the issue of Lebanon is not a matter that interests me specifically. Neither that I have any particular interest in the subject. It's just that after the curious and unfortunate events that have recently occurred in that small country, it is currently being the subject of multiple polemic stories, varied controversies and conspiracy theories of what really happened over there a few days ago.

And since I am a 'professional curious' who likes to make people think through my posts. Suddenly, it occurred to me that the issue of Lebanon would be a good topic to make you think and discuss & debate here with me according to how new facts are starting to appear everywhere.

Again, let's see...

  1. Israel destroys East Beirut with a new weapon.

  2. Beirut explosion: Five conspiracy theories explained.

  3. "BBC News" Beirut: Anatomy of a lethal explosion.

  4. PressTV Interview: The Debate - Beirut Blast.

  5. Regarding the apparent nuclear mushroom cloud and visible blast wave in Beirut explosion.

Yeah! let's share just those five links to get you started. You can consult a lot more infoxification over there in the Net if you want. It's your choice.

But the truth is that if you do, I would expect and aspire that at least you dare to share your impressions with me here. *¿We have a deal?

Alright! then I'm gonna leave this post until here just waiting for your comments. But not without leaving you some extra thoughts to digest too.

Yup, remember that stranger things have happened on this planet that have turned out to be kinda true in the end. *Yeah, only "kinda" true. };)

Btw, did you ever heard about Josephine Myrtle Corbin?

Yeah, I already suspected that this would be the case.

Therefore, my last 'extra' thought forya.

"The illusion of freedom will continue for as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will take down the scenery, move the tables and chairs out of the way, then they will pull back the curtains and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater." - «Frank Zappa»
