We want to welcome you all to this new section in the @erarium project, which is called "Cryptographic Manual", in which we will be covering many topics related to the Cryptomonies, the Blockchain and some of the most important Dapps of the whole ecosystem. If you want to know all the details of this manual, visit this PUBLICATION to learn about the topics covered in module #1.

The first topic of module #1, is very basic, but quite important, since it is imperative that every user knows every aspect of this "Cryptographic" world, especially the most essential thing that is to know what are the Crypto currencies and how they work, which we will cover soon.

Without further ado we will begin...

What are cryptomontages? - ¿Que son las Criptomonedas?

We are completely sure that many of you are curious about this concept, also called the money of the future by many, practically the arrival of digital money, so we will explain as detailed as possible one of the most frequent questions that people have when they hear the term "Cryptocurrency".

To give a definition where we all understand, The cryptomonies are a digital version of fiat money, where transactions are made completely online, this is a means of exchange like our local currency of daily use, such as the USD, but which is designed for the purpose of exchanging digital information through a process known as Cryptography, which is based on a technology called "Blockchain".

*In addition to the cryptography and the algorithm by which the Crypto currencies are established, these have unique characteristics that make it a better form of money than the traditional one we know I mean for example:

The Bitcoin is a finite and deflationary digital asset, which has a printing limit of up to 21 million Bitcoins, so this makes it a refuge and deflationary asset since each time these BTCs, with time have become much more valuable, remembering that the characteristic of all good money is that it is scarce, contrary to traditional money such as the USD that is printed in an uncontrolled way causing higher inflation in the medium and long term.

What is the Blockchain? - ¿Qué es la Blockchain?

*Giving a definition of the Blockchain in simple terms is something complicated, however, we will give our best effort to make it possible.

In this sense, the Blockchain, is presented to us as an information storage system, anonymous, secure, decentralized and free of falsifications, as its name indicates it corresponds to a "Chain of Blocks", being the blocks, as text files that contain the information that we want and need to store, these, in turn form a chain, because each one has some information stored on the previous block, which makes these link. The information that each block has about the previous one, we call it "Hash", a kind of serial code, which combines letters and numbers.

The second most important aspect of this technology, is the network of computers that compose it, since all of them keep an exact copy of it, that is, there is not a single server or computer that keeps all the information stored in these files by itself, where generally most people look for this information, as it happens with the normal database servers, for centralized companies such as "Facebook". In this sense, everyone who works as a node, ie people who have their computers, tablets or smart phones, have a copy, which makes it impossible to lose this and make the blockchain a secure and unchanging decentralized network.

How do cryptocurrency work? - ¿Cómo funcionan las Criptomonedas?

*To determine how they work, means to incur in technical definitions related to the technology that supports it, however, we will explain it in a very simple and understandable way.

Cryptocurrencies are very demanding nowadays and obtain their success thanks to a unique characteristic in its type, which is a completely "DECENTRALIZED" cash system, this means that the network is fed only by the users that compose it, without the need of a third party or central authority to serve as an intermediary in the transactions that are carried out in the Blockchain. All this provides a great security and transparency for the users who make operations within it, but the best thing is that you will not be charged high commissions for balance transfers that are made, so it is much cheaper for everyone to move money using cryptographic assets.

*In addition to this, the operations are person to person, what we know as the term "P2P" (Peer To Peer), so based on this I will explain with an example how a transaction between peers would work:

Cryptocurrency consists of its own network of peers, each peer has a record of the complete history of all transactions as the balance of each account, at the end of each transaction and after confirmation, the trade is known almost immediately by the entire network. A transaction includes a process where "A" gives X amount of Bitcoins to "B", and is signed by A's private key. After signing, a transaction is transmitted on the network, the information is sent from one peer to another peer on the network.

Confirmation is a critical stage in the crypto currency system, in short "Confirmation" is Everything. When the transaction is not confirmed, it has the possibility of being hacked and stolen, and when it is confirmed it is practically set in stone, i.e. it cannot be reversed, it is impossible to be hacked or stolen, as it is part of a permanent record of the historical transaction (The Blockchain).

The Blockchain can be compared to an online ledger, where all transactions are recorded and made visible to the entire network, this comes to show that cryptomonies are not secured by people or trust, but by complex mathematical equations, so it is very safe and highly unlikely that the direction of a currency is compromised.

This way we have reached the end of the first topic of module #1, so there are 4 more posts left, stay tuned for our next content, this week we will be launching the 2nd part of "Trading Tips".
